20c5039156 style: treefmt main — fix CI formatting check
Full `nix flake check` (CI) runs the treefmt formatting derivation. While the
hive-ci runner was offline (#1221), PRs merged without it, leaving 5 files
unformatted: hive-ag3nt/src/web_ui.rs, hive-c0re/src/bin/hivectl.rs,
hive-c0re/src/knowledge.rs, hive-c0re/src/matrix.rs,
hive-forge/src/verbs/attachment_get.rs. `nix fmt` output, pure formatting.

b411a81c1a fix: point hivectl agents at the correct host socket path
hivectl's DEFAULT_HOST_SOCKET was /run/hive/host.sock, but hive-c0re binds
/run/hyperhive/host.sock (main.rs default + startup log). The doc comment
even claimed it matched hive-c0re's default — it didn't. So 'hivectl agents
restart' / 'restart-all' failed with 'connect to /run/hive/host.sock: No such
file or directory' unless the operator passed --socket explicitly.

Point the default at /run/hyperhive/host.sock.

a56badd004 fix: remove Synapse admin API path — use admin-room reset exclusively (tuwunel only) 2026-06-04 15:16:22 +02:00

b2913bc656 fix: admin-room fallback for matrix password reset when Synapse API absent
tuwunel 1.6.x does not implement the Synapse admin REST API.
reset_user_password() now falls back to the Matrix admin room
(#admins:<server>) when PUT /_synapse/admin/v2/users returns 404:

1. Discover admin room ID via #admins:<server> alias
2. Get current messages end-token (pagination anchor)
3. Send 'reset-password @<localpart>:<server>' as @hive admin user
4. Poll for bot response up to 5 x 1s; extract password from message
5. Persist the new password and return it

The function signature changes from Result<()> to Result<String> so the
caller can use the effective password (which may be server-generated on
the admin-room path) for subsequent login calls.

Closes #1267.

c4a8b90236 fix: drop --server flag from hivectl matrix; discover server_name from homeserver
Add matrix::discover_server_name() via GET /_matrix/key/v2/server
(unauthenticated federation endpoint, always returns server_name).
hivectl is always talking to the local hive — no reason to require
the operator to spell out the server_name.

8757dc615d feat: hive matrix admin user + hivectl matrix promote-user/reset-password
- provision @hive:<server> as the first matrix account in ensure_all()
  (Conduit/tuwunel makes the first registered user admin automatically)
- add hivectl matrix sync-admin — manual re-provision of the admin token
- add hivectl matrix promote-user <name> --server <name> — promote via
  Synapse-compat admin API using the hive admin token
- add hivectl matrix reset-password <name> --server <name> — reset an
  agent's password + persist it so ensure_user_for can re-login; follow
  with hivectl matrix create-user <name> to mint a fresh access token
- both commands fall back to HYPERHIVE_MATRIX_SERVER_NAME env var for
  --server when omitted

68e30b857c feat(#1137): rich unread summary in loose ends and wake signal
- hive-sh4re: UnreadMatrix gains summary: String field (per-room breakdown)
- hive-matrix-mcp/protocol: add RoomUnread struct + UnreadSummary request
- hive-matrix-mcp/handlers: collect_unread() fetches per-room data;
  single-unread rooms include truncated last-message body + sender;
  multi-unread rooms carry count only
- hive-matrix-mcp/wake: format_unread_summary() builds wake body from
  RoomUnread slice; terse one-liner for single-room/single-message,
  bulleted list for multi-room; always appends read-hint
- hive-matrix-mcp/timeline: wake body now covers all rooms with unread
  at fire time, not just the triggering event; falls back to per-event
  teaser if notification counts haven't updated yet
- hive-ag3nt/mcp: matrix_unread_summary() replaces matrix_unread_rooms();
  UnreadMatrix loose end carries per-room summary lines; render shows
  room breakdown with sender: body for single-unread rooms

167b4fa1f3 refactor(gateway): fixed htpasswd path, drop htpasswdFile option
Remove the custom htpasswdFile option and bind-mount. The htpasswd file
now lives at the fixed path /var/lib/hyperhive/gateway/gateway.htpasswd
on the host, which is already exposed inside the container at
/run/hive-state/gateway.htpasswd via the existing gateway state
bind-mount — no extra bind-mount needed.

A tmpfiles rule pre-creates the file so nginx can open it even before
any users exist (empty file → all requests return 401, which is correct).

hivectl gateway commands default --file to the standard path so
`hivectl gateway create-user alice` just works without any flags.

4bff450343 feat(gateway): hivectl gateway user management + fix htpasswdFile assertion
Add `hivectl gateway {create-user,delete-user,list-users}` subcommands for
managing htpasswd files used by gateway Basic auth. Pure Rust bcrypt
(cost 12, $2y$ prefix nginx accepts). No external htpasswd binary required.

Also fix the NixOS module assertion: `cfg.auth ? htpasswdFile` is always
true in the module system (declared options always exist as keys); switch
to `nullOr path; default = null` + `!= null` check so the assertion
actually fires with a useful error when enable=true but no file is set.
Guard bind-mount and nginx config against null to prevent eval errors.

Update docs/gateway.md to show hivectl commands instead of raw htpasswd.

25d2951d1e feat(gateway): htpasswd Basic auth — close #1010
Replaces the earlier PAM+binary approach with nginx's built-in
`auth_basic` module. No new binary, no new systemd service, no PAM.

New option `services.hyperhive.gateway.auth`:
- `enable` — off by default
- `htpasswdFile` — host path to an htpasswd file (required when enable)
- `realm` — WWW-Authenticate realm string (default "hyperhive");
  restricted to `strMatching "[^\"$]*"` to prevent nginx config injection

When enabled:
- the parent directory of `htpasswdFile` is bind-mounted read-only
  into the gateway container at `/run/gateway-auth/`
- the `"/"` proxy location gets `auth_basic` + `auth_basic_user_file`

Create credentials: `htpasswd -Bc /path/to/file alice` (BCrypt).
See `docs/gateway.md` ("HTTP Basic auth") for the full setup guide.

d4409b27a3 feat(gateway): PAM auth against host — close #1010
Adds opt-in HTTP Basic auth to the hive-gateway backed by the host PAM
stack + group membership check.

New binary `hive-gateway-auth` (hive-c0re workspace):
- Axum HTTP service on 127.0.0.1:7002 (host loopback)
- Decodes Basic credentials, authenticates via pam_unix.so
- Checks membership in `hyperhive-operator` group (or custom)
- Returns 200 / 401 / 403; nginx `auth_request` consumes these

New options under `services.hyperhive.gateway.auth`:
- `enable`      — off by default
- `port`        — auth service port (default 7002)
- `realm`       — WWW-Authenticate realm string (default "hyperhive")
- `group`       — required host group (default "hyperhive-operator")
- `pamService`  — PAM service name (default "hive-gateway")

Host-side NixOS wiring:
- `users.groups.hyperhive-operator` declared when default group used
- `/etc/pam.d/hive-gateway` emitted via `security.pam.services`
- `systemd.services.hive-gateway-auth` runs the auth binary as root
  (needs /etc/shadow access for pam_unix.so)

Gateway container nginx wiring:
- `location = /__hive_gateway_auth` — internal proxy to auth service
- `auth_request /__hive_gateway_auth` on the `"/"` proxy location
- `@hive_auth_required` named location adds WWW-Authenticate: Basic
  header on 401 so browsers display a login prompt

Workspace deps: pam = "0.8"; flake.nix: linux-pam added to
nativeBuildInputs so pkg-config can find libpam at build time.
