The brand/logo text now rides the same accent value the nav underline
uses, including mid-sweep, so the header reads as one accent changing
rather than the underline alone — per mara's review comment.
Content entrance was a scale+overshoot pop; mara didn't like it on
review, swapped for a plain fade. The nav underline now hops through
every nav item it passes over on its way to the new active one
(position and colour together) instead of tweening directly between
the two endpoints, matching what she actually meant by "move through
color wheel" — a->c visibly touches b's colour along the way, not a
smooth continuous hue rotation.
Shell's page content now remounts on every navigation and plays a
scale+fade pop-in entrance. The active nav link's underline is now a
single shared element that slides to its new position instead of
snapping, re-colouring to a per-tab accent — a discrete cycle through
the existing base16 chromatic slots, not a continuous hue rotation.
Both are gated on the data-motion/prefers-reduced-motion plumbing
lib/motion-apply.ts already had wired and waiting for a first real
consumer.
Reuses HivesPage's exact RefreshIntervalPicker/useRefreshInterval
pattern (30s default, off/10s/30s/1m presets, pauses while the tab is
backgrounded). Ticks a refreshToken bump rather than doing its own
fetch — JobqGraph/JobqRollup already accept that prop as their
documented refetch lever, from the dashboard's rebuild-queue view.
Adds an `icon` prop to Panel (small emoji glyph left of the title,
aria-hidden, chosen per panel with no default) and wires it into every
current Panel caller: hives (bee), create-agent's form (robot) and info
panel (identity card, moved off the info panel's body copy where it
started as a one-off), jobs (puzzle piece), the components gallery
itself (toolbox), and the 404 page (compass). Adds a components-page
demo section and a whimsy-section pointer in the design guide.
Closes: #3508
mara: the two cards were neither centered nor filling the space in
two-column mode. Dropped the page's own max-width entirely — Panel
already has no width opinion, and once both cards are equal-width
flex children there's no reason for an extra cap between them and
.shell-body's own 60em/centered column. Removed the now-pointless
wrapper div along with it.
Checked centered + filling behaviour at both a normal (1200px) and an
ultra-wide (1600px) viewport, and narrow-viewport stacking still
works.
mara's follow-up: both cards should be the same size (flex: 1 1 0
instead of the form keeping its own narrower basis), and the form's
inputs should fill the card rather than stopping at their old 16em
cap. Dropped that cap from the shared form kit (.ui-form-control /
.ui-form-field) entirely rather than overriding it per-page — the kit
itself has no width opinion now, same as Panel already has none; a
page that wants a narrower field caps its layout, not the kit.
Checked ComponentsPage's standalone samples (no regression, just
wider) and narrow-viewport stacking (still moves the explanation
under the form).
mara's review: the info-panel copy should describe the intended end
state (a running agent on the chosen hive), not narrate today's
partial implementation (deploy isn't wired up server-side yet — noted
in this file's existing top comment for maintainers, kept separate
from the user-facing copy).
mara's follow-up on the field-alignment fix: narrowing the form panel
left a lot of bare space next to it, and asked for something that
fills it while helping a new user understand what the page does.
Adds a second panel beside the form (stacks under it on a narrow
viewport) explaining the job chain '/api/agents' actually queues:
an authelia identity, then a forge config repo — no container exists
yet after this page, and deploying one onto the chosen hive is a
separate step that isn't wired up server-side.
TextField and SelectField's shared FormField wrapper had no width of
its own, so inside the form's shrink-to-fit flex column each field's
input/select resolved its 'width: 100%' against its own shrunk
wrapper rather than a shared column width — two fields with
differently-long labels ended up with differently-wide controls.
FormField now caps its own width the same way the control already
does, so every field in a form lines up regardless of label length.
Also wrapped the page in a max-width container: Panel has no width
opinion of its own, so it filled the full page column, leaving a lot
of bare panel to the right of the ~16em-wide form.
mara's review: the theme override read as a hand-copied duplicate of
colors.css's hex values instead of deriving from it. Restructured
colors.css to declare each palette's 16 hex values exactly once
(--mocha-baseNN, --latte-baseNN) and have every activation block
(the default, the prefers-color-scheme media query, and two new
:root[data-theme='light'|'dark'] blocks) just re-point the active
--baseNN slot at one of those two raw palettes via var() - never a
second copy of a hex value.
theme-apply.ts simplifies to match: it now only toggles a data-theme
attribute on <html>, same shape motion-apply.ts already had. No
palette values live in JS at all anymore.
Re-verified the override still genuinely outranks the media query
with the new mechanism: same seed-localStorage-while-forcing-the-
opposite-OS-preference test as before, both directions still render
the stored override correctly.
Adds the settings surface + storage plumbing swarm-ui has been missing:
nowhere to put a client-local preference and no shared code for one to
build on. Scoped small per explicit direction ("small thing somewhere",
localStorage, theme and motion in scope for now) rather than a full
/settings route + nav entry for two toggles.
- frontend/packages/swarm-ui/src/lib/settings-storage.ts: generic
useLocalSetting<T>(key, fallback) hook - read once, write through,
stay in sync with other same-tab consumers of the same key via a
small module-level pub/sub (localStorage's own storage event only
fires cross-tab).
- frontend/packages/swarm-ui/src/lib/theme-apply.ts: tri-state
system/light/dark override, applied by setting the 16 base16 custom
properties inline on <html> (an inline style always outranks a
stylesheet rule, including a media-query-gated one) - colors.css's
own comment on its light-mode block already named this as the
intended mechanism for a future override.
- frontend/packages/swarm-ui/src/lib/motion-apply.ts: tri-state
system/reduce/allow override, applied as a data-motion attribute.
Currently inert - swarm-ui has zero CSS animations yet - included
because the marginal cost riding alongside the theme override is
near zero and it was named in the same scoping answer; the first
swarm-ui animation's own CSS is what makes this do anything.
- frontend/packages/swarm-ui/src/shell/SettingsMenu.{tsx,css}: a
header icon-button + popover holding both selects, same shape as
LinksMenu (manages its own state, not a ui/ primitive, hence no
ComponentsPage demo - same exception LinksMenu already established).
- Shell.tsx/.css: mounts the two override-application hooks once
(every route renders through one Shell), and wraps SettingsMenu +
LinksMenu in a single .shell-header-actions flex wrapper so one
margin-left: auto pushes both to the right edge together - two
adjacent auto-margins on separate elements split the space between
them instead of sitting flush.
Verified the override actually outranks the media query, not just
"looks right": seeded localStorage with each override value while
forcing the opposite OS-level prefers-color-scheme via headless
chromium, both directions render the stored override, not the forced
OS preference. Typecheck and build clean.
Per mara's review on this PR: the labelled SelectField-based picker
read as way too heavy for a passive-until-touched setting - a full
label+bordered-control form field row above the table. Replace it with
a compact inline "clock icon - value - chevron" control (a native
<select> still drives the interaction, just stripped of SelectField/
FormField's chrome), quiet until hovered/focused the same way
LinksMenu's header button is.
Also move it out of the panel body entirely: Panel gains an `actions`
slot in its title row (right-aligned via margin-left: auto), so the
picker sits next to the "hives" heading instead of taking its own row
and pushing the table down - per the design guide's own "a control
belongs next to the thing it affects" rule.
Verified with headless chromium screenshots (full page + a tight
close-up crop) against the built bundle: the picker now reads as
"(clock) 30s (chevron)" inline with the panel title, no extra vertical
space taken from the table. Added a Panel "with actions" demo to
ComponentsPage.
Closes#3446.
New ui/refresh-interval/RefreshInterval — a RefreshIntervalPicker
(off/10s/30s/1m preset select) plus a useRefreshInterval hook that
polls on that cadence, pausing while the document is hidden and
resyncing immediately on becoming visible again (same pattern
RelativeTime already uses). The hook keeps the caller's onTick fresh
via a ref rather than an effect dependency, so a new closure each
render doesn't re-arm the timer.
HivesPage wires it in: defaults to 30s (no inputs on this page to
interrupt, and the point of the feature is not needing a manual
reload), replacing the old fetch-once-at-mount effect. A successful
refresh also clears any previous fetch error instead of leaving a
stale failure on screen after the data's recovered.
Verified: tsc clean, build succeeds, screenshotted the hives page
(auto-loads on mount, picker defaults to 30s) and the components page
demo.
The previous fix put both the touch-target min-height and the
active-state border-bottom on the same <a>: centering the text
within a 2.75em box pushed the border ~0.7em away from it, a real
visible regression argus caught by actually rendering the CSS rather
than reasoning about the box model abstractly.
Split the two concerns onto two elements: the <a> (.shell-nav-link)
owns the full-height tappable box, an inner <span>
(.shell-nav-link-text) wrapping just the label owns the underline,
so the indicator stays directly under the text regardless of the
tappable box's height.
Verified: tsc clean, build succeeds, screenshotted close-up (600x100)
and at 320px — underline sits flush under the text in both, no gap.
The proposed scope on this issue named three things to give the
2.75em touch-target floor: nav links, buttons, and the links-menu
trigger. Only the links-menu trigger actually got it in the first
pass — the primary nav (hives/new agent/jobs/components), the
highest-traffic touch target in the whole shell, was still sitting at
padding: 0.25em 0 (~27px tall).
display: flex + min-height rather than more padding: padding alone
would have pushed the active-state border-bottom away from the text
to reach 2.75em; flex centres the text within the full-height box so
the indicator still sits directly under it.
Verified: build succeeds, screenshotted at desktop width and 320px —
active underline still sits correctly under the text at the taller
height, wrap behavior from the earlier commit unaffected.
Closes#3447.
- Shell.css: .shell-header and .shell-nav wrap onto a second line
below a breakpoint instead of forcing horizontal overflow — no
hamburger/collapse menu, per mara's own 'don't break, don't
over-invest' scoping.
- LinksMenu.css: bumped .links-menu-button and .links-menu-item to the
same 2.75em (~44px, WCAG 2.5.5) touch-target floor the shared ui/
kit's form controls and buttons already carry — this trigger is
bespoke, not built from that kit, but the floor applies regardless.
- Table.tsx/.css: wrapped the table in a .ui-table-scroll container
(overflow-x: auto) so a wide table scrolls within its own box on a
narrow viewport instead of forcing the whole page to overflow
horizontally — not named in the issue's two concrete spots, but the
same 'should not break' failure mode, and fixing it at the shared
Table primitive covers every future caller.
.create-agent-input's fixed width -> max-width was already fixed as
part of #3448's form kit.
Verified: tsc clean, build succeeds, screenshotted at 320px (hives
nav wraps, table scrolls internally, page itself doesn't overflow)
and 480px (create-agent form fields fit).
Closes#3445.
New ui/relative-time/RelativeTime — takes a UTC epoch-ms instant, not
a precomputed age, and re-renders itself on a 1s interval so a tab
left open doesn't silently show a frozen 'fresh (5s ago)' hours
later. Pauses while the document is hidden, resyncs immediately on
becoming visible again.
StatusChip's label widened from string to ComponentChildren so a
chip can embed the live ticker (a plain string couldn't carry it).
HivesPage's freshness column now derives the age from last_seen_unix
client-side via RelativeTime instead of rendering the once-computed
age_seconds from the API response.
Verified: tsc clean, build succeeds, screenshotted the components
page (ticking observed advancing within one virtual-time-budget
window) and the hives page (fresh/stale/never-reported all render
correctly).
Closes#3460.
Renamed for accuracy — the page/nav item is the hive roster, not a
general dashboard overview. Nav label, page title, component name,
and file all renamed together so the internal name doesn't drift from
what's displayed (a component still called OverviewPage under a
'hives' nav label would be exactly the kind of stale prior-art that
makes the next contributor search harder, not less).
Closes#3434.
Agent creation had no way to record which hive an agent runs on.
POST /api/agents now requires a hive, so the roster fetched off
GET /api/hives backs a required SelectField here rather than a
free-text field. Single-hive swarms auto-select their only hive;
multi-hive swarms show a disabled placeholder and force an explicit
choice.
Rebuilt on top of the #3448 form kit (merged after this branch was
originally opened): reuses TextField/SelectField/Button instead of
page-scoped input chrome, and SelectField gains an optional disabled
placeholder option (needed for the loading/empty/multi-hive states
here, generalizes cleanly for future callers). Form goes back to a
column layout per mara's earlier visual feedback on this same page
(two fields of different natural width no longer line up in a row).
Closes#3448.
New ui/ primitives: FormField (shared label+control wrapper),
TextField, SelectField, Button — each with a min-height touch target
(2.75em ~= 44px, WCAG 2.5.5) per mara's #3447 ask, and a max-width
instead of a fixed width so the control caps on desktop without
overflowing a narrow/touch viewport.
CreateAgentPage's name field + submit button now come from the kit
instead of page-scoped CSS; ComponentsPage gets a section for each new
primitive with an editable sample.
New GET /api/swarm on swarm-controller, backed by
services.hyperhive.swarm.name (SWARM_CONTROLLER_NAME env var, same
optionalAttrs-gated-on-option-resolving shape queueEnv/forgeEnv/etc.
already use). swarm-ui's <Shell> fetches it once and sets both
document.title and the header's brand text; falls back to the
existing static "hyperhive swarm" label when the operator never set
a name or the fetch fails.
Extracted the swarm-queue connect block out of main() into its own
connect_status_reader() fn to keep main() under clippy's line-count
lint after adding the new field wiring — no behavior change, same
comments moved as-is.
Closes#3423.
Modern browsers validate an <input pattern> attribute's regex in
Unicode-set ('v') mode, which is stricter about hyphen placement than
classic mode: `[a-z0-9-]` throws "Invalid character class" under 'v'
mode even though a trailing hyphen is unambiguous (and valid) in classic
regex. Reproduced directly: `new RegExp('[a-z0-9-]', 'v')` throws,
`new RegExp('[a-z0-9\\-]', 'v')` doesn't. Escaping the hyphen fixes it
without changing what the pattern matches.
Closes#3410.
`ApiErrorPanel` renders a ProblemDetails (RFC 9457) error nicely, with a
copy button so the full text can be pasted straight into a bug report.
No truncation of `detail` — on the #3363 incident that motivated this
issue, that string was the entire diagnosis.
`readApiError`/`problemMessage`/`ProblemDetails` are promoted out of
credentials.js's original `readErrorBody` into `@hive/shared/api-error.js`
(comment rewritten: the RFC 9457 rework has already landed everywhere
except swarm-controller's status route, #3412 in flight, so the raw-text
fallback is a compat shim for that one gap, not a general transition).
credentials.js's 4 call sites switch to the shared reader (kept as
one-line messages there, its result slots are single-line aria-live
regions, not a panel context).
Wired ApiErrorPanel into OverviewPage.tsx (the issue's own worked
example) and CreateAgentPage.tsx (second real call site).
Not built on <hive-warn> despite matching its visual language — that
custom element's CSS-as-text import only works under a build with
loader: 'text' for .css (dashboard's), and silently renders unstyled
under swarm-ui's default css loader (filed separately as #3415).
ApiErrorPanel is a self-contained light-DOM component instead, per
mara's own suggestion to keep it independent of the old UI's shapes.
Relative hrefs (static/main.js) only resolve correctly for a route
one path segment deep - the browser resolves them against the
current URL's directory, so a route two-plus segments deep would
404 the JS/CSS silently once this is wired to a real server. Made
absolute (/static/main.js), matching what build.mjs's own comment
already documents these paths as being served at.
mara: the route should reflect creating an agent, and stay separate
from a future agent list page. Renamed AgentsPage -> CreateAgentPage
(file, component, css classes) and moved the route from /agents to
/create-agent - flat, not /agents/new, since index.html's relative
asset links only resolve correctly one path segment deep (filed
separately as a real bug, not fixed here). Leaves the bare /agents
path free for a future roster page.
Adds /agents: a name field that POSTs to swarm-controller's
POST /api/agents (from the CreateIdentity work), shows the queued
job node id, and links to /jobs to watch it settle. Scope matches
the issue exactly - no forge/deploy options, those aren't wired
server-side yet.
New @hive/shared/jobq-rollup.js (JobqRollup.tsx + jobq-rollup.css),
mirroring JobqGraph's shape exactly: JSX use plus an imperative
mountJobqRollup(container, props) for a plain-.js call site. Fetches
Vec<hive_jobq_wire::StateCount> off `endpoint`, sums Running+Finishing
roots as "running" and Pending roots as "queued", renders nothing when
both are zero. Optional `queueHref` adds a "view queue -> " link.
Swapped dashboard's hand-rolled queue-summary banner (swarm.js) over to
this component instead of keeping two parallel implementations - same
"one shared component" pattern JobqGraph already set for the rebuild
queue tree view. Mounted once into a new #jobq-rollup-section, kept as
a sibling of (not inside) #containers-section since that section gets
replaceChildren()-wiped on every container-state render, which would
tear down and remount a Preact tree on every tick. Refreshed via the
mount handle's .refresh() on rebuild_queue_changed, same as builds.js's
JobqGraph handle.
Also mounted in swarm-ui's /jobs page, above JobqGraph, with no
queueHref (a link back to the page you're already on is noise) - the
literal ask on hyperhive#3364.
Verified: npm run build (whole workspace) and swarm-ui typecheck both
clean, comment-block + issue-ref lints run manually, headless-chromium
screenshots of both the dashboard SW4RM tab and swarm-ui's /jobs page
against mocked /api/jobq/rollup payloads - banner renders identically
in both, with and without the queue link as expected.
Answers mara's question on PR#3342 (lightweight dep for fmtAgo?): no
dep needed, Intl.RelativeTimeFormat is built into the runtime and its
narrow style produces the same '5m ago' shape, verified with a real
call rather than assumed from the spec.
Per mara's review on PR#3342 — the hive-status view shouldn't live
inline in App.tsx. Moves it to pages/OverviewPage.tsx, mirroring
JobsPage's shape: App.tsx stays routing-only, each page owns its own
fetch + render.
App.tsx now fetches GET /api/hives/status (the swarm-controller
aggregate: one row per roster hive, freshness derived at read time
from the status bucket) instead of GET /api/hives + a static
'configured' chip. Renders fresh/stale/never_reported/unknown as
StatusChip tones with a relative age, per the placeholder comment that
was already waiting on this endpoint to exist.
Adds a small local fmtAgo helper (src/util.ts) mirroring the
dashboard package's near-identical formatter — not worth sharing
across a vanilla-JS and a Preact/TS call site.
Both introduced by this PR's own JSX->TSX conversion, caught by argus:
the top-of-file comment grew to 42 lines converting it, and JobsPage.css
still pointed at 'JobqGraph.jsx's own comment' after the rename.
New /jobs route in swarm-ui, reusing the shared JobqGraph component
against swarm-controller's own GET /api/jobq/graph (same wire shape
hive-c0re's dashboard already consumes, different endpoint, no fork).
Converted JobqGraph.jsx to JobqGraph.tsx with real prop/wire types
(mirrors hive_jobq_wire's GraphNode/GraphDep/State by hand) instead of
a hand-maintained ambient .d.ts at the swarm-ui consumer side — the
.d.ts would duplicate the prop list and drift from the source the
moment the component's signature changes without the declaration being
touched. Both dashboard (untyped consumer, esbuild strips types) and
swarm-ui (tsc --noEmit) build/typecheck clean off the one file.
Same pattern frontend.nix already uses for the dashboard: the SVG
lives outside the npm tree at branding/hyperhive.svg, copied into
$out during the nix install phase (not build.mjs, so plain npm build
consumers still work, same split frontend.nix uses). Added the
matching <link rel="icon"> to index.html.
Single 🔗 button in the Shell header (direction 1 of 3 proposed on the
issue) — one fixed element regardless of link count, so it can't
clutter as the list grows, and visible on every route since Shell
wraps all of them. Opens a popover listing whatever GET /api/links
returns (icon + label, opens in a new tab); hidden entirely when the
list is empty, same "don't render a dead affordance" rule the old
dashboard's H0M3 tiles follow for Forge/Matrix.
Docs: docs/swarm/ui.md gets a short section on the feature + the
contribute-your-own-entry idiom.
Verified: npm run build + npm run typecheck clean, headless-chromium
screenshots of both the closed and (temporarily forced open for the
screenshot only) open states, pixel-sampled to confirm the popover is
actually using the dark theme vars and not just looking that way in a
downscaled preview.
New /components route showing every ui primitive (Panel, StatusChip,
Table) in each mode it supports: Panel with/without a title,
StatusChip's four tones, Table populated and empty. Sample data only,
no API calls, so it renders identically regardless of backend state.
Linked from the Shell nav next to "overview".
Verified with npm run build + npm run typecheck, and a headless
chromium screenshot of the built dist.
Fixes hyperhive#3223.
swarm-controller: GET /api/hives (utoipa-annotated same as /health),
serving the swarm's hive directory (name + domain) loaded once at
startup from a new SWARM_CONTROLLER_HIVES env var. The controller's
NixOS module sets it from services.hyperhive.swarm.hives, JSON-encoded
the same way hive-c0re already builds HYPERHIVE_PEERS for its own peer
list (environment.nix) — the full directory here rather than
peers-minus-self, since a swarm-level daemon has no 'self' hive to
exclude. Unset/malformed both fall back to an empty list with a
warning rather than failing startup, so /health stays answerable even
if this one env var is wrong.
swarm-ui: App.tsx's Home route fetches /api/hives and renders it
through the already-merged <Table>/<StatusChip>/<Panel> primitives —
name, domain (linking out to that hive's own gateway-routed
dashboard), and a static "configured" status chip until a real
online/stale/offline rollup exists server-side. Also gave swarm-ui a
base <a> color (theme's --blue) — base.css covers body/typography but
not links, and this is genuinely page-level rather than any one
component's concern.
Verified end to end, not just source-reading: ran the real
swarm-controller binary with SWARM_CONTROLLER_HIVES set, curled
/api/hives + /health over its actual unix socket; separately served
the real swarm-ui dist against a mock /api/hives and screenshotted the
rendered table. Also re-verified the nginx wiring evaluates (same
throwaway nixosSystem eval technique as #3212) — SWARM_CONTROLLER_HIVES
resolves to the expected JSON shape.
cargo test/clippy -p swarm-controller clean (2 tests, including a new
load_hives one covering missing/malformed/valid env var states). npm
run build + typecheck clean.
Per mara's review question on PR#3219 ('shouldnt the jsx files import
their css?'): each component now does its own import ('./Shell.css',
'./Panel.css', ...) instead of swarm-ui.css centrally @import-ing
every component's stylesheet. esbuild folds every .css reachable from
main.tsx's import graph into one main.css companion output next to
main.js — no separate build step, this is bundle:true's existing
behavior, just not exercised until now.
swarm-ui.css keeps only the shared base reset (@hive/shared/base.css)
since that isn't any one component's concern. Added src/css.d.ts
(ambient '*.css' module) since tsc otherwise rejects a side-effect
import of a non-JS/TS specifier.
Side benefit: a component nothing imports (yet) no longer ships its
CSS either — StatusChip/Table aren't referenced from App.tsx today,
and main.css correctly only carries Shell.css + Panel.css. The old
central-import approach shipped all four unconditionally.
npm run build + typecheck clean. Re-screenshotted the real dist —
pixel-identical to before this change.
Per mara's PR review request: Panel/StatusChip/Table each move into
their own subdir (ui/panel/, ui/status-chip/, ui/table/) colocating
the component with its stylesheet, matching shell/ (Shell.tsx +
Shell.css already lived this way). Import paths in App.tsx and
swarm-ui.css updated to match; no behavior change.
npm run build + typecheck both clean.
Structural foundation split out of hyperhive#3118 per mara's steer:
structure first so the real overview page (hive roster) and later
routes (swarm-wide agent roster) land as content changes rather than
each reinventing chrome + nav + a table/panel/chip shape.
- <Shell>: header bar (branding) + nav row, wraps every route. Route
list lives in Shell itself (one small SPA, one place to know its
own nav).
- ui/Panel, ui/StatusChip, ui/Table: the three primitives the
overview page's actual scope (hive roster: name/domain/status,
linking out to each hive's own dashboard) calls for, nothing
speculative beyond that.
Preact-native styling (plain CSS files imported via swarm-ui.css, no
shadow DOM — this package renders into light DOM) — not
@hive/shared's chrome.css, which is the old MPA dashboard's visual
language. Same base16/Catppuccin color tokens via theme.css/colors.css
so it still reads as hyperhive.
npm run build (whole frontend workspace) + npm run typecheck both
clean. Verified with a real headless-chromium screenshot against the
built dist, not just source-reading.
Fixes hyperhive#3211
Project-bootstrap scope per the issue: static build as a nix pkg,
empty start page for now, functionality deferred until auth against
authelia is figured out. Stack (Preact + wouter + TypeScript + JSX)
matches the shell decision from the earlier framework-paths thread —
a real SPA shell with a router and deep links, distinct from the
per-hive dashboard's vanilla-JS + custom-element MPA.
- New npm workspace frontend/packages/swarm-ui: one route (/), a
wouter Switch/Route shell, a 404 fallback. Reuses @hive/shared's
colors.css/theme.css/base.css for visual consistency; no other
shared JS (the vanilla-JS el()/dom.js helpers are superseded by
Preact in this shell).
- nix/packages/swarm-ui.nix: its own buildNpmPackage derivation
(scoped to just this workspace via an explicit buildPhase), not
folded into nix/packages/frontend.nix's packages.default closure —
same reasoning swarm-controller/swarmctl already use for staying out
of daemonBins: a hive that doesn't run the swarm controller
shouldn't carry swarm-ui bytes.
- npmDepsHash recomputed in both frontend.nix and swarm-ui.nix (same
shared lockfile, new deps: preact, wouter-preact, typescript).
- Added swarm-ui to nix/checks.nix alongside frontend, for the same
FOD-staleness reason plus being the only thing that actually builds
it in CI (not in packages.default's closure like frontend is, so
nix flake check wouldn't otherwise touch it).
- npm run typecheck (tsc --noEmit) is available locally; not yet wired
into CI — esbuild transpiles TS without type-checking, so that's a
real gap, left as a follow-up rather than growing this bootstrap PR
with a new CI workflow step.
Verified: nix build .#swarm-ui and .#frontend both succeed; npm run
build (root, all workspaces) succeeds; tsc --noEmit clean;
scripts/check-issue-refs.sh clean.
