e394533268 feat(#2529): bump reqwest 0.12 -> 0.13
Now that matrix-sdk 0.18 is on main, reqwest 0.13.1 is already in the
tree transitively. Point the workspace crates at it directly.

reqwest 0.13 renamed the rustls feature set:
- rustls-tls -> rustls
- rustls-tls-native-roots -> rustls-native-certs
- (webpki-roots is now a separate feature)

hive-forge keeps its dual-trust story (system/native store for the
hive CA + bundled Mozilla roots for public CAs) by enabling
rustls-native-certs + webpki-roots explicitly.

forgejo-api 0.11 resolves cleanly against reqwest 0.13 (no conflict).

rusqlite 0.40 is intentionally NOT bumped here: matrix-sdk-sqlite 0.18
still pins rusqlite 0.37, so 0.40's libsqlite3-sys 0.38 would hit the
links="sqlite3" single-owner conflict. Deferred until upstream moves.

d04c86e9ac chore(#2510): bump indicatif/tower-http/hmac/sha2 to latest majors
Bumps the feature (major) versions that update cleanly without breaking the
build: indicatif 0.17->0.18, tower-http 0.6->0.7, hmac 0.12->0.13,
sha2 0.10->0.11. Only adaptation needed: import hmac's KeyInit trait in
webhook_secret (new_from_slice moved from Mac to KeyInit in hmac 0.13).

Held back (require dedicated code-change PRs, out of scope for a
non-breaking bump):
- reqwest 0.13: renames the rustls-tls feature and conflicts with
  forgejo-api 0.11 + matrix-sdk 0.14 which pin reqwest 0.12.
- rusqlite 0.40: libsqlite3-sys 0.38 clashes with matrix-sdk-sqlite 0.14's
  0.35 (single links=sqlite3) — coupled to the matrix-sdk bump.
- rmcp 2.2, matrix-sdk 0.18: major API rewrites across the MCP/matrix crates.

52114c6d02 chore(#2510): cargo update — routine semver lockfile bump
Refreshes ~90 semver-compatible dependency versions (patch/minor within
the existing Cargo.toml constraints); Cargo.lock only, no source changes.
Major bumps held back by our constraints (rmcp 2.x, matrix-sdk 0.18,
reqwest 0.13, rusqlite 0.40, tower-http 0.7, sha2 0.11) are left for
separate, code-touching follow-ups.

419c9659a3 feat(#2007): export per-agent container cpu/mem/disk via otel
hive-c0re already samples each agent container's cgroup load for the
dashboard (stats/container_stats.rs); this rides those gauges out to the
configured OTLP endpoint, reusing the existing services.hyperhive.otel
config (endpoint + auth header) — no new toggle.

- New stats/otel_metrics.rs: exports via the OpenTelemetry Rust SDK (same
crates as hive-metric) with the semconv container.* metric names +
  container.name attribute so off-the-shelf OTel/Grafana dashboards work,
plus the hive agent label. container.cpu.time (counter, s, from cumulative
  cpu.stat usage_usec), container.memory.usage, container.memory.usage.limit;
memory peak / on-disk storage / instantaneous cpu percent stay hyperhive.*
custom (no semconv equivalent). Observable instruments read a shared
snapshot an async task refreshes (gather() is async; SDK callbacks sync).
- container_stats: expose cpu_time_usec (cumulative) on ContainerResource.
- The OTLP auth header is loaded onto hive-c0re's own unit via systemd
  LoadCredential and read from $CREDENTIALS_DIRECTORY/otel-headers.
- docs/observability.md documents the host-emitted semconv metrics.

Host-side export, so it covers containers even when their agent is idle.

e0461e1af6 refactor(#2431): extract hive-priv-sock crate from hive-sh4re
Split the priv-socket wire types (PrivRequest/PrivResponse/PrivEvent and
friends) out of hive-sh4re into their own hive-priv-sock crate, mirroring
the existing hive-host-sock split. hive-priv — the root-privileged
helper — now depends on just this narrow protocol crate instead of the
much larger daemon-shared crate, shrinking its dependency surface and
making the privsep boundary easier to audit. No server/client
implementation lives here, only the wire contract; hive-c0re still
depends on hive-sh4re directly for everything else.

79a29873e3 fix(#2164): domain-URL webhooks + HMAC + config-PR polling fallback
Both webhook registrations (knowledge push + config-PR pull_request) now
use the public hive domain instead of loopback:
  https://<HYPERHIVE_HIVE_DOMAIN>/webhook/{knowledge,config-pr}

This routes deliveries through the gateway, bypassing the Forgejo SSRF
guard that blocked loopback delivery and silently broke the config-PR
merge flow since launch.

Changes:
- webhook_secret: new module — auto-generate + persist a 32-byte HMAC
secret to STATE_ROOT/webhook-secret on first startup; verify
X-Hub-Signature-256 on every incoming webhook POST (HMAC-SHA256).
- forge/mod.rs: ensure_config_pr_webhook now takes hive_domain +
webhook_secret; sets secret in Forgejo hook config.
- workers/knowledge.rs: ensure_webhook same update.
- dashboard/webhook.rs: both handlers read raw Bytes first, verify HMAC,
then parse JSON. Returns 401 on signature mismatch.
- dashboard/mod.rs: AppState carries webhook_secret; serve() takes it.
- main.rs: load/generate secret at startup; pass to registration tasks
+ dashboard; add 5-minute config-PR polling fallback task.
- forge/config_pr_poll.rs: new — scan agent-configs/* for open PRs with
no pending MergeConfigPr approval; queue them. Idempotent.
- stores/approvals.rs: has_pending_merge_config_pr() for poll dedup.
- nix/modules/hive-gateway.nix: remove dashboardAuth from /webhook/
location (HMAC replaces basic auth for webhook endpoints; Forgejo
cannot send HTTP Basic credentials with webhook deliveries).

476a7a3c9f web_ui: support unix:<path> upstreams in extraWebProxies
reqwest has no UDS transport, so unix: upstreams dial the socket
directly with a raw hyper/1.1 client per request instead. http(s)://
upstreams are unaffected (still go through the existing reqwest path).

Adds hyper (client, http1), hyper-util (tokio IO adapter), and
http-body-util as direct hive-ag3nt dependencies - all three were
already present transitively via reqwest, this just uses them
directly for the new code path.

4db8a8cd3d feat(#1843): static-serve the dashboard via the gateway, hive-c0re API-only
nginx proxied `<hive>/` straight to hive-c0re:7000, and hive-c0re served the
dashboard dist itself via `tower_http::ServeDir` (from `HIVE_STATIC_DIR` baked
into its service env). So a frontend-only change rebuilt the hive-c0re unit and
restarted the core daemon — every operator session dropped its SSE stream for a
pure CSS/JS change.

The gateway nginx now static-serves the dashboard dist directly; hive-c0re's
dashboard router is API-only. The split uses the Accept-header SPA fallback (the
same `map $http_accept` pattern the matrix/agent vhosts already use), so no
backend prefix has to be enumerated: a browser navigation (Accept: text/html)
whose path is not an on-disk asset gets the SPA index.html; everything else
(every /api route, the bare action/mutation routes, the two SSE streams, the
knowledge webhook — all Accept != text/html) falls through `try_files` to the
`@c0re` named location and is reverse-proxied to hive-c0re. A new c0re route
needs no gateway change.

- hive-c0re.nix: expose the themed dist as a new internal read-only option
  `services.hyperhive.c0re.servedFrontend`; drop `HIVE_STATIC_DIR` from the
service env (the router no longer serves files).
- hive-gateway.nix: read that option in host-module scope (dashboardDist),
  static-serve `dashboard/` with the Accept-header `try_files ... @c0re` split;
  `@c0re` carries `proxy_buffering off` + a 1d read timeout for the SSE streams
and a duplicated auth_basic block (named locations do not inherit it). The
dashboard map is unconditional; the matrix map stays gated on the matrix GUI.
- dashboard.rs: drop the ServeDir fallback + the HIVE_STATIC_DIR resolution; the
router 404s unmatched paths (the gateway only proxies non-static requests).
- hive-c0re/Cargo.toml: drop the now-unused tower-http dependency.
- docs/gateway.md: document the dashboard static split + the `@c0re` fall-through.

The store path is reachable inside the gateway nspawn container (shared
/nix/store), mirroring how HIVE_AGENT_FRONTEND_DIR already exposes the per-agent
UIs. The gateway and c0re changes must land together (atomic cutover) or the
dashboard 404s — this needs a watched gateway + c0re rebuild.

c7612dcf2b hivectl: shell completions verb + ship zsh/bash/fish completions (#1764)
Add a 'hivectl completions <shell>' subcommand (clap_complete) that
prints a completion script for bash/zsh/fish/elvish/powershell, generated
from hivectl's own clap command tree so it never drifts from the real
verbs/flags. The package build installs the bash/zsh/fish scripts via
installShellFiles, so an operator gets working completion automatically
once hivectl is on their profile with shell completion enabled.

Regenerated docs/tools/hivectl-cli.md for the new verb.

1f602d5fda hive-c0re: back agent state dirs with btrfs subvolumes
Progressive enhancement: a brand-new agent's state root under
/var/lib/hyperhive/agents is created as a btrfs subvolume when the host
filesystem is btrfs, otherwise it falls back to a plain directory. No
existing agent is auto-migrated — the new path only fires when the root
does not yet exist, so plain-dir agents are left untouched until an
explicit opt-in upgrade.

Two new privileged ops (subvolume create/delete are root-only):
EnsureAgentSubvolume statfs-gates on btrfs, creates the subvolume, and
chowns it to the hive-core user so the normal state/claude/harness
mkdirs succeed inside it; DeleteAgentSubvolume btrfs-subvolume-deletes
the root iff it is actually a subvolume. hive-c0re calls Ensure before
the per-agent dirs are created (spawn/rebuild/InitConfig) and Delete on
the purge path only — destroy keeps the subvolume for revival, matching
plain-dir semantics. btrfs-progs added to the hive-priv unit PATH.

Per-subvolume usage accounting + optional quota is a separate
follow-up.

1e39a6c12b feat(forge): trust the system CA store in the hive-forge client
Enable reqwest's rustls-tls-native-roots feature for hive-forge so its
HTTP client validates against the OS/system CA store (rustls-native-certs)
in addition to the bundled webpki roots. Once the hive CA is embedded into
agent system trust stores (via the meta flake's security.pki.certificateFiles
wiring), hive-forge validates the gateway's self-signed leaf with no extra
env plumbing.

Additive: the bundled webpki roots stay enabled, so public CAs still
validate; the native store adds the hive CA. On NixOS the system store
already includes the Mozilla bundle, so the effective trust set is a
superset. Cargo unifies features across the build, so native-root loading
is enabled for every reqwest client — harmless, since it only widens the
root set.

Final piece of the self-signed agent-trust chain (host CA + gateway leaf,
then CA embedded into agent flakes, now the forge client honouring it).

4bff450343 feat(gateway): hivectl gateway user management + fix htpasswdFile assertion
Add `hivectl gateway {create-user,delete-user,list-users}` subcommands for
managing htpasswd files used by gateway Basic auth. Pure Rust bcrypt
(cost 12, $2y$ prefix nginx accepts). No external htpasswd binary required.

Also fix the NixOS module assertion: `cfg.auth ? htpasswdFile` is always
true in the module system (declared options always exist as keys); switch
to `nullOr path; default = null` + `!= null` check so the assertion
actually fires with a useful error when enable=true but no file is set.
Guard bind-mount and nginx config against null to prevent eval errors.

Update docs/gateway.md to show hivectl commands instead of raw htpasswd.

25d2951d1e feat(gateway): htpasswd Basic auth — close #1010
Replaces the earlier PAM+binary approach with nginx's built-in
`auth_basic` module. No new binary, no new systemd service, no PAM.

New option `services.hyperhive.gateway.auth`:
- `enable` — off by default
- `htpasswdFile` — host path to an htpasswd file (required when enable)
- `realm` — WWW-Authenticate realm string (default "hyperhive");
restricted to `strMatching "[^\"$]*"` to prevent nginx config injection

When enabled:
- the parent directory of `htpasswdFile` is bind-mounted read-only
into the gateway container at `/run/gateway-auth/`
- the `"/"` proxy location gets `auth_basic` + `auth_basic_user_file`

Create credentials: `htpasswd -Bc /path/to/file alice` (BCrypt).
See `docs/gateway.md` ("HTTP Basic auth") for the full setup guide.

d4409b27a3 feat(gateway): PAM auth against host — close #1010
Adds opt-in HTTP Basic auth to the hive-gateway backed by the host PAM
stack + group membership check.

New binary `hive-gateway-auth` (hive-c0re workspace):
- Axum HTTP service on 127.0.0.1:7002 (host loopback)
- Decodes Basic credentials, authenticates via pam_unix.so
- Checks membership in `hyperhive-operator` group (or custom)
- Returns 200 / 401 / 403; nginx `auth_request` consumes these

New options under `services.hyperhive.gateway.auth`:
- `enable` — off by default
- `port` — auth service port (default 7002)
- `realm` — WWW-Authenticate realm string (default "hyperhive")
- `group` — required host group (default "hyperhive-operator")
- `pamService` — PAM service name (default "hive-gateway")

Host-side NixOS wiring:
- `users.groups.hyperhive-operator` declared when default group used
- `/etc/pam.d/hive-gateway` emitted via `security.pam.services`
- `systemd.services.hive-gateway-auth` runs the auth binary as root
  (needs /etc/shadow access for pam_unix.so)

Gateway container nginx wiring:
- `location = /__hive_gateway_auth` — internal proxy to auth service
- `auth_request /__hive_gateway_auth` on the `"/"` proxy location
- `@hive_auth_required` named location adds WWW-Authenticate: Basic
header on 401 so browsers display a login prompt

Workspace deps: pam = "0.8"; flake.nix: linux-pam added to
nativeBuildInputs so pkg-config can find libpam at build time.
