c673dce73d hivectl: resolve stop/start scope to names at the c0re entry point
Per review: c0re expands the LifecycleScope to explicit container-name
lists (scoped_agents / scoped_infra) in the dispatch arm, then hands those
lists to handle_stop / handle_start. The 'all agents' flag no longer flows
past the resolution boundary, so downstream consumers (incl. the future
graceful-stop queue) always operate on concrete names. CLI --agents flag
unchanged.

fbb48ed3ce hivectl: add hive-wide start/stop verbs
`hivectl stop` brings the whole hive down in one operator action — all
sub-agents plus the ci/forge/gateway/matrix infra containers — and
`hivectl start` brings it back up. Scope flags (--agents, --agent <name>,
--ci, --forge, --gateway, --matrix) narrow the set; a bare invocation
targets everything. hive-c0re never stops itself.

- hive-sh4re: HostRequest::{Stop,Start} + LifecycleScope wire type;
  priv_proto InfraAction + ControlInfraContainer + the
  CONTROLLABLE_INFRA_CONTAINERS allowlist (adds hive-matrix, excludes
  hive-c0re).
- hive-priv: control_infra_container handler (systemctl <verb>
  container@<name>, allowlist-validated root-side).
- hive-c0re: handle_stop / handle_start fan out agents via lifecycle and
  infra via hive-priv; per-target failures are aggregated. Infra
  systemctl routes through hive-priv (the privsep boundary).
- The --graceful flag is threaded through Stop now; the per-agent quiesce
  itself lands with the graceful-agent-stop work.

db50da570a refactor(#1003): nixpkgs + nixpkgs-unstable as top-level meta inputs
Per mara's direction: both nixpkgs and nixpkgs-unstable are now
top-level meta flake inputs with explicit store-path URLs. Hyperhive
follows them rather than the other way around:

  inputs.nixpkgs.url            = "path:${pkgs.path}";
  inputs.nixpkgs-unstable.url   = "path:${nixpkgs-unstable}";
  inputs.hyperhive.url          = "...";
  inputs.hyperhive.inputs.nixpkgs.follows            = "nixpkgs";
  inputs.hyperhive.inputs.nixpkgs-unstable.follows   = "nixpkgs-unstable";

New NixOS host options (auto-set at build time, overridable):
  services.hyperhive.c0re.nixpkgsFlake
    default: "path:${pkgs.path}" — host's evaluated nixpkgs.
  services.hyperhive.c0re.nixpkgsUnstableFlake
    default: "path:${nixpkgs-unstable}" from hyperhive's flake.nix —
    the channel that carries claude-code. Operators can override to
    track a different unstable snapshot.

Legacy fallback (both args empty) preserved for backward compat.
Two new Rust tests cover the full-URL and fallback paths.

fe5a41288d feat(#1003): inject pkgs.path into meta flake as explicit nixpkgs.url
meta flake was using `nixpkgs.follows = "hyperhive/nixpkgs"` but
`hyperhive` is a store-path input, so nix resolves hyperhive's own
pinned lock rather than the host's follows-substituted version.
When an operator sets `inputs.hyperhive.inputs.nixpkgs.follows =
"nixpkgs"` in their host flake, the meta flake was silently ignoring
it and using hyperhive's pinned nixpkgs instead.

Fix: hive-c0re.nix injects `--nixpkgs-flake path:${pkgs.path}` into
the daemon's ExecStart. `pkgs` IS the host's nixpkgs when follows is
set; otherwise it's hyperhive's own pin — so the meta flake gets the
right nixpkgs in both cases. render_flake emits `nixpkgs.url = "..."`
(explicit) when nixpkgs_flake is non-empty, falling back to the old
`follows` form when empty for backward compat.

f8c0f64fd4 feat: socket-activate the hive-c0re admin socket
Add a systemd.sockets.hive-c0re unit that holds /run/hyperhive/host.sock
before hive-c0re starts. hive-c0re serve() detects LISTEN_FDS via the
listenfd crate and accepts the systemd-handed fd instead of calling bind().
Falls back to the existing bind path when LISTEN_FDS is absent so direct
invocation and CI are unaffected.

Benefits: hivectl can connect the moment the socket unit activates (no
racy window), and a hive-c0re restart never drops the socket inode.

188f3ea5ec chore: scrub #NNN issue references from code comments and nix descriptions
Part of the docs-migration chore (issue #708). Remove GitHub issue
numbers from inline comments, option descriptions, and rustdoc —
these are contextless noise for anyone reading the code without
access to the original discussions. Replace with prose that captures
the same rationale directly.

No functional change. Build still clean (cargo check passes).

d06b598c56 kick_agent on every rebuild + apply path
agents weren't being woken with the 'you were rebuilt — check
/state/ for notes, --continue intact' system message after
several recent rebuild surfaces:

- auto_update::rebuild_agent — used by the dashboard rebuild
  button, admin-CLI rebuild via lifecycle_action, the startup
  rev-scan, AND the new meta-input update batch loop. kick
  moves *into* rebuild_agent's success arm so all four
  paths benefit. (the dashboard's lifecycle_action extra
  closure was already firing kick — now it's a no-op for the
  rebuild path since rebuild_agent does it.)
- actions::run_apply_commit — apply-commit approve flow built
  + tagged deployed/<id> but never kicked. add kick on
  success with the more specific 'config update applied' hint.
- server.rs::HostRequest::Rebuild — the admin-CLI direct path
  calls lifecycle::rebuild bypassing rebuild_agent. add kick
  on success.

dashboard's restart / start lifecycle_action extras still
kick via their own closures since they don't route through
rebuild_agent. stop / kill / destroy intentionally don't
kick — there's nothing to wake.

891223219e server: notify manager on admin-socket Rebuild outcomes
HostRequest::Rebuild was the only rebuild path that bypassed
notify_manager. dashboard / auto_update / actions::approve
already emit Rebuilt events on both success + failure, but a
'hive-c0re rebuild <name>' from the host CLI (and the recent
matrix-flake build failure that surfaced in journald) left the
manager in the dark.

mirror auto_update::rebuild_agent's pattern: on success →
Rebuilt{ok:true}, on failure → Rebuilt{ok:false, note=
format!('{e:#}')}. note carries the stderr tail lifecycle::run
collected (the actual nix error: missing prompt file, dep
build failure, etc.), so the manager has enough context to
adjust the agent's agent.nix without ssh-ing to the host.

50ef806266 operator pronouns: configurable free-text, threaded into prompts
new NixOS module option services.hive-c0re.operatorPronouns
(free text, default 'she/her', example 'they/them'). hive-c0re
takes it as a CLI flag (--operator-pronouns, lib.escapeShellArg'd
in the systemd unit), stores it on Coordinator, threads it into
the meta flake's mkAgent so each agent's systemd service gets
HIVE_OPERATOR_PRONOUNS set. the harness reads the env at boot
and substitutes {operator_pronouns} into the agent / manager
system prompt alongside {label}. nix string is escaped against
backslash + double-quote so non-ascii / quoted values
round-trip safely. prompt addendum: both agent.md and
manager.md mention the operator's pronouns up front so claude
uses them naturally in third-person reference. propagates on
next ↻ R3BU1LD (meta lock bump, no per-agent approval).

6cf66e23dc actions: deny plants annotated denied/<id> tag
apply-commit denials now leave a git object behind: tag
denied/<id> annotated with the operator's note (or empty body
if they didn't supply one) at proposal/<id> inside the applied
repo. rejected configs become first-class git history — git
show denied/<id> in the manager's applied.git mount yields the
tree the operator rejected plus the reason. helper event
carries the tag for parity with deployed/failed. spawn denials
fall through unannotated since they have no proposal commit.
deny becomes async (single git plumbing call); dashboard +
admin-socket callers grow .await.

871e7bf3fa wire types: add sha + tag to Approval and HelperEvent
approval grows fetched_sha (canonical hive-c0re-vouched sha,
distinct from manager-supplied commit_ref). helperevent
{approvalresolved,spawned,rebuilt} grow optional sha + tag so
the manager can git-show the exact tree it's hearing about
(against the upcoming /agents/<n>/applied.git RO mount) and
know which terminal tag landed. all serde-defaulted; existing
construction sites pass none until the tag-driven flow lands.

2029840671 deny: operator can attach a reason that reaches the manager
clicking DENY on the dashboard now prompts for an optional reason
('reason for denying (optional, sent to manager):'). the value
rides along as a hidden 'note' form field; backend chain:

  POST /deny/{id} { note }
    → actions::deny(coord, id, Some(note))
    → Approvals::mark_denied writes it to the row
    → HelperEvent::ApprovalResolved { ..., note: Some("...") }

manager already had note: Option<String> on the event, just never
populated for denials before. host admin socket (hive-c0re deny)
still passes None.

generalized the prompt-on-submit pattern: any form with a
data-prompt attribute pops a window.prompt() before the POST and
stashes the answer in a hidden input named by data-prompt-field
(default 'note'). reusable for future opt-in note fields.

48ebfefd1a destroy --purge: also wipe agent state dirs
new --purge flag on the destroy verb (cli + admin socket + dashboard).
default destroy still keeps /var/lib/hyperhive/{agents,applied}/<name>/
so recreating with the same name reuses prior config + creds.
with --purge, both dirs go too (config history, claude creds, /state/
notes). no undo. dashboard adds a separate PURG3 button with an
explicit confirmation copy; the existing DESTR0Y button keeps the
soft semantics.

claude.md dashboard-action-surface section updated; todo entry
dropped.
