684c85686e feat(stats): add an 'all' time range to agent + hive stats
Adds a Window::All option to the per-agent stats page and the hive-wide
rollup, selectable as a new 'all' tab on both.

- hive-ag3nt (per-agent, time-bucketed): All ranges from MIN(started_at)
to now (fallback to now on an empty table) with an adaptive bucket
  width laddered by span — hourly <=2d, daily <=90d, weekly <=2y, 30-day
beyond — so the trend series stays bounded (~<=104 buckets) at any age.
- hive-c0re (swarm rollup, not time-bucketed): All sets from=0 so the
aggregate covers every recorded turn across all agents.
- frontend: an 'all' button on both the agent stats and dashboard hive
stats window selectors (createTabStrip + fetch already pass the window
string through, so no JS change needed).

cargo check passes on both crates; FE builds clean. Fixes #1919.

6a54866ec7 agent ui: drop dead .stats-nav + #toolbar css now superseded by page-header 2026-06-22 13:34:58 +02:00
iris
98d015edea agent ui: shared page-header nav on the stats + screen sub-pages
Per mara: the agent sub-pages should use the same back-link nav as the
dashboard's standalone pages, while the live terminal page stays as-is (no
tabs of each other, not an SPA).

Pull the shared `@hive/shared/chrome.css` into the agent bundle (via agent.css's
existing @import line; esbuild inlines it into the one dist/static/agent.css all
agent pages link), then:

- stats.html: replace the ASCII banner + bespoke `.stats-nav` with the shared
  `page-header` (← live back-link + dashboard link + title). Keeps the #back-link
  / #dashboard-link / #title ids stats.js drives, and the time-window picker +
  charts below are unchanged.
- screen.html: replace the bespoke `#toolbar` nav with the same `page-header`
(← agent back-link + title), keeping the fit / match / debug controls + the
  status text in the bar.

The live terminal (index.html) is untouched. The now-unused `.banner` /
`.stats-nav` / `#toolbar` rules in agent.css are left for a follow-up prune to
keep this diff focused on the markup. Agent build clean.

Closes #1874.

1c47bd4333 agent-ui: real fixed-width icon column for terminal rows
Replaces the first-character-glyph + negative-text-indent trick (which let a
wide emoji or a leading disclosure caret knock the icon out of column) with a
genuine icon cell.

terminal.js: row() / details() / detailsDiff() take an optional `icon` that
goes in a fixed-width `.row-glyph` element (inline-block, 1.4em). Details
summaries wrap their text in a `.summary-text` span; the disclosure caret
moves to `.summary-text::before` so it leads the text, not the icon — keeping
the icon in the shared column. terminal.css carries the cell + caret rules.

app.js passes the per-tool emoji as `icon` for the flat tool-use row and every
expandable tool summary (Write/Edit/send/ask/answer/bash) plus the 💭 thinking
row, instead of string-prefixing it. A details `🖥️` now lines up under a flat
row's `🧠` regardless of emoji width. Doc: terminal-rendering.md layout
contract updated. Closes #1844.

fb58f0e5b9 agent-ui: per-tool emoji icons + thinking/turn-end glyphs in terminal
Following the 🧠 thinking-tokens indicator (operator liked it), give terminal
rows evocative glyphs:
- 💭 thinking prose (pairs with the 🧠 token counter)
- / turn-end ok/fail (was ✓/✗)
- per-tool icons via toolIcon(name): 📤 send · 📥 recv · ask · ✍️ answer
  · remind · 🏷️ set_status · 🪢 loose-ends · ↻/⏹️/▶️/🔄 lifecycle · 📦
  request_* · ⏱️ schedule · 🖥️ bash · 💬 matrix · 📖 Read · 💾 Write · ✏️
Edit · 🔍 Glob/Grep · 🔧 default — on both flat rows and the rich
  send/ask/answer/Write/Edit summaries.

Dropped the original 🐝 task-row glyphs: claude's nested-agent Task tool is
intentionally omitted from agents' allow-list (mcp.rs), so those rows never
render for agents. Doc table updated.

Closes the emojify-terminal request.

63a79d76ba agent-ui: collapse streamed thinking_tokens ticks into one live row
claude streams a running 'estimated_tokens' counter as system/thinking_tokens
events — many per turn (thousands in a long turn). renderStream rendered each
as a '⚙ thinking_tokens' note, flooding the terminal scrollback. Coalesce
consecutive ticks into a single '🧠 thinking … ~N tokens' note row that
updates in place; reuse the row only while it's still the last one rendered
(nextElementSibling == null) so any other event starts a fresh one. Closes

cd7846b348 bash-tasks page: live interval poll + spawn_blocking the dir scan (review)
Two fixes from review:
- Liveness: /api/state isn't polled while online (only during login), so
hooking refreshBashTasks to it only populated on cold load. Bash tasks
start + finish asynchronously between turns, so add a light ~4s interval
to keep the tasks pill live; the /api/state-time call now just does the
first-paint populate. Doc note corrected to match.
- Move the blocking dir scan + per-file reads in /api/bash-tasks off the
async executor via tokio::task::spawn_blocking (damocles nit).

4ce919a19f agent-ui: running bash-tasks pill + flyout on the agent page
Adds a 'tasks' header pill (hidden at zero, like inbox/loose-ends) that
opens a side-panel flyout listing the agent's in-flight bash tasks from
GET /api/bash-tasks. Each row shows status (running/queued), task id,
elapsed time, and a truncated single-line command preview. Polled on the
same /api/state cycle as loose-ends (tasks complete async between turns, so
the count stays live); clicking the pill opens the flyout. Snapshot-only
v1 — SSE live-push is a possible follow-up.

8db8bd610f feat(stats): surface first-turn ctx tokens on the per-agent stats page
Builds the read/surface half of the per-session first-turn-tokens metric
(the capture — sessions table + turn_stats.session_id — landed separately).
A fresh claude session's first turn pays the full static prefix (system
prompt + tools + CLAUDE.md + first wake) as uncached input, so its
input_tokens is a clean proxy for prompt / CLAUDE.md sprawl — watching it
over time surfaces creep.

- stats.rs: add `Snapshot.first_turn_ctx: Option<u64>` populated by
`read_first_turn_ctx` — the agreed per-session derive (first turn,
`ORDER BY started_at LIMIT 1`, of the most recent session that started
in the window). Inert-until-capture: `.ok()` maps both "no fresh
session yet" and "older db without the sessions table" to None, the
same decoupling as read_bash_breakdown; the field is skipped from the
JSON when None. Pre-capture rows have a NULL session_id and are excluded.
- agent stats.js: add a "first-turn ctx" summary chip, guarded on a
numeric value so it stays hidden until capture has data.

clippy + cargo fmt clean; agent bundle builds.

e89ca90956 feat(agent-ui): show turn start/end times + duration on the agent terminal
The per-agent terminal marks turn boundaries (◆ TURN ← / ✓ turn) but
shows no time. Append a wall-clock HH:MM:SS to both the turn-start and
turn-end rows, plus the elapsed duration on turn-end, rendered as dim
metadata so the boundary glyph stays the focus.

This is the frontend half of the feature; it reads a per-event `ts`
(unix seconds) off the turn_start / turn_end events. The read is guarded
on a numeric `ts`, so until the harness surfaces per-event timestamps
the rows render exactly as before (inert-until-capture). Once the
backend attaches `ts` to the history rows + live SSE frame, the times
light up automatically for both live and scrollback, with no further
frontend change.

ceb3e3b01a feat(frontend): per-agent effort-level quick-picker (#1596)
Adds a reasoning-effort quick-picker to the agent page's overflow menu,
a direct sibling of the existing model quick-picker, wired to the backend
seam from #1597/#1600: /api/state carries effort + available_efforts, the
picker POSTs { effort } to /api/effort (operator-only, mirroring
/api/model), and live updates arrive via the effort_changed SSE event.

The available levels are the backend's to declare — the frontend holds no
hard-coded list; availableEfforts is seeded from state.available_efforts
on cold-load and the picker section is omitted until the backend supplies
the set. Mirrors the model picker otherwise: postEffort(),
renderEffortChip() (updates the new amber effort-chip + button active
states), the cold-load seed, and the effort_changed handler. Build green.

Applies on the next claude session (operator uses the existing
clear-session), per the backend contract.

0680f87d3d refactor(frontend): migrate agent stat-window selector to createTabStrip (#1464 step 1)
Replaces the agent stats page's bespoke window-tab click handler with the
shared createTabStrip (@hive/shared/tabs.js). The selector is now
hash-routed — #1h / #24h / … become deep-linkable and survive
back/forward navigation.

- window buttons use data-tab (was data-w); the strip resolves them by
  that convention and toggles .hive-tab--active + aria-selected.
- onShow(w) sets currentWindow + reloads stats; the strip's initial show
fires it once, so the explicit loadStats() in DOMContentLoaded is
  dropped (avoids a double fetch).
- the selector keeps its distinct pill look — agent.css now targets
.window-tabs button.hive-tab--active (was .active), not the shared
  .hive-tab text-tab base. It's a pure data-selector with no panes;
createTabStrip skips the absent [data-tab-pane] gracefully.

Behaviour-preserving; aria-selected is now standardised on the buttons.

09787dd1c3 refactor(frontend): base16 theme contract in a swappable colors.css
Split the palette into two standalone stylesheets:
- colors.css — the 16 base16 slots (--base00..--base0F). This is the
entire theme swap contract; a generator (e.g. a stylix base16 scheme,
which is natively base00-base0F) replaces only this file.
- theme.css — the semantic layer (--bg, --purple, …) derived from the
base16 slots via var()/color-mix. Never changes on a swap.

Every page links colors.css then theme.css; theme.css does NOT @import
colors.css (that would re-bake the slots into it) — they're separate
dist outputs so a swap touches just colors.css. Pixel-identical refactor:
base16 defaults are Catppuccin Mocha and the three off-slot vars
(--crust, --muted, --subtext0) derive via color-mix reproducing their
exact prior hexes.

Wires colors.css through both build.mjs CSS entry lists, the
@hive/shared exports map, and all 7 page templates. css-vars.md + the
frontend.nix output-list comment updated.

742d4a5c6d fix(frontend): var-derive hardcoded palette colours for theme-swap safety
Replace ~92 hardcoded Catppuccin rgba literals across the dashboard,
agent, and shared terminal stylesheets with color-mix() over the theme
:root vars, so a stylix-generated theme.css recolours the whole UI, not
just the elements that already referenced the vars. Pixel-identical
under the default palette (same RGB + alpha; color-mix(in srgb, C N%,
transparent) == rgba(C, N/100)).

Also fixes four var(--mauve, #cba6f7) usages: --mauve is undefined (the
var is --purple), so they were silently falling back to the hardcoded
hex and would not have recoloured on a theme swap. The bare crust hex in
terminal.css and the checkerboard-gradient hexes in common.css are
var-derived too.

Pure black/white drop-shadow/frost scrims are left as literals (not
theme colours). Two off-palette surface tints (dim-purple schedule rows,
warm-amber inline-button hover) are also left, with a comment, pending a
dedicated named var. Correct-var fallbacks like var(--red, #f38ba8) are
left as-is since they already recolour via the var.

bd0b3efd8f chore: post-#1442 cleanup — fix stale price example + drop dead CSS
Two small follow-ups after the modelPrices PR (#1442):
- nix/modules/hive-c0re.nix: the `modelPrices` option `example` still
showed the old 5-minute sonnet `cache_write = 3.75`; the default is now
the 1-hour TTL `6.0`. Bump the example to match so it doesn't mislead.
- frontend/packages/agent/agent.css: remove the dead `.stats-empty-note`
selector (no element uses it — the stats empty state paints on canvas).

8ddab401f9 feat(dashboard): serve H0M3 at /, relocate dashboard to /dashboard.html (#1464)
Step 2 of the nav restructure: make the H0M3 menu hub the landing page
at / and move the dashboard SPA to /dashboard.html, with every surface
linking back to the hub.

Mechanism (frontend-only, no host-side change — confirmed against the
ServeDir route table): the dashboard's ServeDir fallback serves
index.html at / via append_index_html_on_directories, and there is no
SPA path-routing catch-all to break. The dashboard SPA is served as the
plain file dashboard.html so it never shadows the exact-match
/dashboard/stream + /dashboard/history SSE routes registered before the
fallback.

- Swap the HTML entry files: the H0M3 page becomes index.html (loads
home.js → served at /), and the dashboard SPA becomes dashboard.html
(loads tabs.js → served at /dashboard.html). build.mjs copies the new
set; JS bundle names are unchanged (referenced by absolute /static/
paths, independent of the HTML filename).
- H0M3 Dashboard tile now points at /dashboard.html.
- The dashboard gains a "← home" back-link in its chrome; flow.html and
logs.html relabel their back-link from "← dashboard" to "← home"
(href stays / — which is the hub now). Pages link to the hub, not to
  each other.
- Agent page (app.js + stats.js): the "↑ dashboard" link now targets
  /dashboard.html. The API base (rebuild / answer-question /
mark-all-read POSTs) stays the origin root, unchanged.
- Comment-only: tabs.js / flow.js / common.js references to the
  dashboard's old index.html filename updated to dashboard.html.

Note for review: git renders the file swap as a deleted home.html + an
added dashboard.html + a heavily-modified index.html, because index.html
exists on both sides with swapped content. It's a content swap, not a
rewrite — the built dist/ is verified (index.html→home.js, dashboard.html
→tabs.js).

Deferred to a follow-up: removing the FL0W / L0GS / M4TR1X "→" page-links
from the dashboard tab strip (touches tabs.js gating/overflow), and the
shared reusable chrome component (a later step).

e70584b632 feat(frontend): split theme CSS vars into a standalone theme.css
Phase 1 of stylix integration (#1457): extract the Catppuccin palette
into a dedicated, separately-linked stylesheet so a theme swap can
replace just that file without rebuilding the rest of the frontend.

- shared/src/theme.css (new): the `:root` palette, moved out of
base.css (which now holds only the body typography it references).
- shared/package.json: export `./theme.css`.
- dashboard/src/theme.css + agent/src/theme.css (new): one-line
re-exports of @hive/shared/theme.css so each package's esbuild emits
its own standalone `dist/static/theme.css` (palette is NOT inlined
  into the page bundles).
- both build.mjs: add theme.css to the CSS build list.
- every page (dashboard index/flow/logs, agent index/stats/screen):
link `theme.css` first, ahead of the page CSS, so the `:root` vars
  resolve for everything.
- docs/web-ui/css-vars.md: document the split + the no-rebuild rationale.

Behaviour-neutral — same colours, just relocated. Verified both
`npm run build` outputs: theme.css emits standalone (383b) with the
palette; no `--*` palette defs duplicated into common.css/agent.css.

Phase 2 (nix derivation that swaps theme.css from stylix colours) is a
follow-up; touches nix/frontend.nix, coordinating with damocles.

Part of #1457.

a5914274ba feat(stats): surface "favorite tools" (most-run bash commands) on /stats
The surfacing half of the per-agent favorite-tools stat. Reads a
`bash_commands(ts INTEGER NOT NULL, head TEXT NOT NULL)` table from the
per-agent turn-stats.sqlite — one row per bash task, written by
hive-bash-mcp (the capture half, landing separately) — and rolls up the
top-10 command heads for a doughnut, mirroring the existing
tool_breakdown.

- stats.rs: new `Snapshot.bash_breakdown` + `read_bash_breakdown()`.
The read is guarded: a missing `bash_commands` table (capture hasn't
shipped / agent hasn't run a bash task) maps to an empty list, never
an error — the snapshot degrades gracefully. Unit tests cover both
the absent-table and populated cases (incl. window cutoff + ordering).
- frontend: a "favorite tools (bash)" doughnut card on the agent /stats
page, kept hidden until bash_breakdown has data so it never shows a
permanently-empty doughnut while capture is pending.

Part of #1433 (does not close it — pairs with the hive-bash-mcp capture
half). Inert until the capture lands; merge order with it is irrelevant.

ded7474b2b feat(stats): cache hit-rate, tokens/turn, and result trend over time
First slice of #1424 (per-agent /stats enrichments):

- Backend: add per-bucket result_counts to the stats Snapshot (mirrors
model_counts), so result outcomes can be charted over time, not just
  as a window total.
- Frontend: two new summary chips — cache hit-rate % (cached input vs
all input-side tokens) and avg tokens/turn — both derived from the
existing per-bucket token sums. Plus a stacked result-trend chart so
error / rate-limit / compaction spikes are visible across the window.

Hive-wide aggregate, cost estimate, and container resource load land in
follow-up PRs.

1f54a07195 feat(agent): read available models from HIVE_AVAILABLE_MODELS env var
web_ui.rs: add available_models() helper that reads HIVE_AVAILABLE_MODELS
(comma-separated, injected by services.hyperhive.availableModels nix option).
Falls back to ["haiku", "sonnet", "opus"] when absent or empty. Field added
to StateSnapshot so the frontend receives the list on cold-load.

app.js: replace hardcoded MODEL_ALIASES array with availableModels module var.
Seeded from state.available_models before setHeader/populateOverflowMenu on
first /api/state load. Well-known aliases (haiku/sonnet/opus) still get their
descriptive labels; operator-declared custom model names show the name itself.

Implements the frontend + web_ui.rs side of issue #1359 (nix option shipped
separately in PR #1360 by atlas).

6c74c6dafa feat(agent): model quick-picker in overflow menu
Adds three one-click model shortcuts (haiku / sonnet / opus) at the
bottom of the agent overflow menu (⋯), below a separator and a small
'model' section label.

- The active model alias is highlighted with .active (purple border +
tint) so the operator can see at a glance which model is current.
Matching tolerates both short aliases (haiku) and full API names
  (claude-3-5-haiku-20241022) via an endsWith check.
- Clicking the active model is a no-op (closes menu, no POST).
- Clicking a different alias calls postModel() and closes the menu.
- renderModelChip() keeps the picker buttons in sync on every
/api/state refresh without rebuilding the menu.

Before this change the operator had to type /model <name> in the
compose box. The overflow menu provides a discoverability path for
operators who don't remember slash commands.

defcb5df0b fix(agent): use gateway-relative dashboard URL when behind hive-gateway
When the agent page is accessed via hive-gateway (path is /agent/<name>/)
the dashboard lives at the same origin's root (/), not at the direct
TCP port. Both app.js (overflow menu / setHeader) and stats.js
(dashboard-link anchor) previously hardcoded http://hostname:port which
is wrong or unreachable behind HTTPS TLS termination.

bddeb5478e fix(#1286): pretty-print system events in the agent terminal
The catch-all renderer was dumping raw JSON (in loud orange) for
claude's system events like api_retry — producing noise like:
  ! {"attempt":1,"error":"unknown","subtype":"api_retry",...}

Replace the single 'init' filter with a full system-event block:
- api_retry → muted note: '⚠ api retry 1/10 · unknown · 502ms'
- api_error → amber note: '✗ api error · <message>'
- other subtypes (context_window_exceeded, etc.) → '⚙ <subtype>'

The loud orange sys catch-all is now reserved for truly unrecognised
top-level event types, not routine operational noise.

6e670c8a72 fix(#1157): add viewport meta to all pages; use clientWidth for side panel
Without a viewport meta tag, some browsers (notably Firefox with
Fingerprinting Protection active) internally read screen.availWidth /
screen.availHeight to compute the default viewport size, producing the
console warning 'Fingerprinting Protection is altering screen.availWidth

Fix:
- Add <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
to all five pages that were missing it (dashboard index/flow/logs, agent
  index/stats). screen.html already had it.
- Replace window.innerWidth with document.documentElement.clientWidth in

actual CSS layout viewport width and is not rounded by Firefox's
Fingerprinting Protection, making the drag calculation correct even
  with privacy.resistFingerprinting enabled.

  StateSnapshot gains `hive_name` + `swarm_name` (Option<String>),
populated from the env vars the c0re NixOS module injects.

hive-ag3nt/web_ui.rs:
Per-agent StateSnapshot gains the same two fields, populated from
  crate::identity::hive_name() / swarm_name().

Dashboard frontend (index.html + tabs.js):
  A `<p class="banner-thin" id="hive-identity">` sits above the tab
strip in the chrome. refreshState() populates it with "swarm / hive"
(or just "hive") when the fields are non-null, and updates
  document.title to "<swarm>/<hive> // h1ve-c0re". No change to
chrome when both fields are null (backward compat).

Per-agent frontend (index.html + app.js + agent.css):
A hidden `.agent-hive-label` span under the title row shows the
swarm/hive label once setHeader() receives non-null names.
  document.title is updated to "<label> // <hive_name>" when hive_name
is set, enabling browser-tab disambiguation when multiple hives are
open in parallel. Styled as a small uppercase purple-dim sub-label.

4cee50a3be agent/app.js: final cookie scrub — 0 cookies (#713 batch 3 final)
All 19 remaining cookies in app.js were attribution refs to
closed issues / PRs / past mara/argus reviews. Substance is
already in docs from earlier batches (PR #780). This batch
collapses the cookie attributions to brief inline notes pointing
at docs where appropriate.

- #360 side-panel duplication note → drop closed-issue framing
- #394 vibec0re header redesign (×5) → drop cookies, prose stays
- #589 hive-qualified label glyphic-title note → drop cookie
- #576/#542/#584 logout chain rationale → drop cookies, prose
  preserved (the WHY + .credentials.json + mcp-needs-auth-
  cache.json detail stays inline)
- #14 relative paths convention → docs/web-ui.md::Per-agent
  relative paths pointer
- #233 marked autolinks new-tab → drop cookie
- #559/#566 mark-all-read flyout (×3) → docs/web-ui.md::Per-agent
page (Loose-ends flyout) pointer + drop attribution
- #666 ask→operator inline-answer slot (×2) → docs/web-ui.md::
Per-agent page (Ask → operator inline-answer binding) pointer

app.js: 19 → 0 cookies (100% reduction). Combined with PR #780
+ batch 1 + 2, app.js is fully migrated for #713 scope.

Closes #713 — all agent UI files (app.js, agent.css, screen.html,
index.html, stats.js, stats.html) at 0 issue-ref cookies.

dfbaa2654b agent/index.html: collapse header comments to docs pointers (#713 batch 3 cont.)
3 #NNN cookies scrubbed from inline HTML comments. The header
two-row layout (#394) and the overflow-extra-click rationale
already live in docs/web-ui.md::Per-agent page (after PRs #780
and #781 batches 1-2). Each comment shrinks to a doc-pointer.

815f6561b7 screen.html + docs: migrate canvas-sizing + RFB design prose (#713 batch 3)
Expanded the /screen endpoint description in docs/web-ui.md to
cover the substantive design rationale that lived in screen.html
comments. screen.html shrinks correspondingly.

Moved to docs/web-ui.md::Per-agent endpoints (GET /screen):
- Deliberate thinness — minimal RFB renderer; noVNC vendoring
path called out for production-grade replacement.
- Fit-mode flex-item min-width:auto clamp: a flex item's automatic
minimum size resolves to the canvas's intrinsic framebuffer
resolution and clamps CSS max-* back up, making fit mode a
  silent no-op. The fix (flex: none + min-width: 0 + min-height: 0
+ explicit px sizing via relayoutCanvas()) is now documented.
- localStorage persistence for fit-mode (key screen-fit; default
  on).
- Pointer rescale in sendPointer keeps clicks accurate.
- ExtendedDesktopSize pseudo-encoding (-308 rect) gates the
  match-size button.

Collapsed in screen.html: 8 #NNN cookies scrubbed across all
inline comments. #133 (canvas-sizing fit bug — closed) ×5,
#52 (noVNC vendoring — closed) ×1, #14 (relative URL — closed
my piece) ×1, plus one CSS-block #133. Each comment shrinks to
a brief pointer.

screen.html: 8 → 0 #NNN cookies (100% reduction). Net ~26 lines
of substantive prose moved into docs/web-ui.md.

b07d74b51b agent.css + docs: migrate icon sizing + popover :not([hidden]) prose (#713 batch 2)
agent.css carried 17 #NNN cookies, mostly attribution refs to the
#394 vibec0re overhaul (mara's full-screen redesign). Most were
not substantive WHY-prose — just "this exists because of #394"
breadcrumbs. The two genuine WHY-explanations move to docs.

Moved to docs/web-ui.md::Per-agent page:
- **Agent icon paragraph**: rewrote with explicit-em-sizing
rationale (intrinsic <img> dimensions push parent flex container
  open via align-items: stretch height feedback) + the 5em ≈ 6em
  min-height - 0.5em padding × 2 derivation + align-self:
  flex-start sticks-to-top.
- **Overflow button paragraph**: added the :not([hidden]) display
scoping rationale (UA stylesheet sets display:none on [hidden],
but author display:flex would override — scope to :not([hidden])
so the popover stays hidden until JS unhides).

Collapsed in agent.css: 17 cookies scrubbed across the file:
- #360 (full-screen vibec0re overhaul — closed) ×2: section
header preface + side-panel section header
- #394 (vibec0re header redesign — closed) ×7: header height,
main column, agent icon, meta-nav, overflow trigger, two
  orphaned-style tombstones
- #411 (popover scoping + icon align-start — closed) ×2: icon
  sticks-to-top + overflow popover scoping
- #568 (OAuth code mask + reveal — closed) ×1: show/hide toggle
- #666 (ask→operator inline-answer slot — closed) ×1: slot
styling (substance partly in PR #780 docs section)
- #559 (mark all read header row — closed) ×1
- #376 (inbox row layout — closed) ×1: long-message wrap
- #375 (tail pill z-index — closed) ×1: collision fix

agent.css: 17 → 0 refs (100% reduction, fully migrated).

3f84b6492a agent/app.js + docs: migrate ask→operator inline-answer binding prose (#713 batch 1 cont.)
Moves the #666 ask→operator inline-answer wiring rationale from
app.js into a new docs/web-ui.md::Per-agent page sub-paragraph
**Ask → operator inline-answer binding**. Substantial block —
the slot-registry / reconcileAskBinds / buildAnswerForm trio has
real design rationale (async question id, text-match pairing,
resolved-vs-cancelled-vs-expired neutrality, defensive prune,
no-regression-fallback to side-panel answer) that belongs in
docs, not three JSDoc blocks scattered through app.js.

Moved to docs (~30 lines of substantive prose):
- pendingAskBinds slot-registry rationale
- reconcileAskBinds matching algorithm (text-match, first-unbound
  to first-unclaimed pairing stability)
- defensive prune for disconnected slots
- [resolved] vs ✓ rationale (answered / cancelled / TTL-expired
  ambiguity — neutral label)
- fallback to side-panel answer when slot stays unbound

Collapsed in app.js: 3 JSDoc blocks + inline comments → ~10-line
total pointer. Drops #666 ×3, #559, #668 cookies en passant
(substance now lives in docs).

app.js: 24 → 19 refs in this commit; 27 → 19 across batch 1
(30% reduction so far). Net ~57 lines of substantive prose
migrated from app.js to docs/web-ui.md across both commits in
this PR.

8366c3739b agent/app.js + docs: migrate stacking-context + OAuth + nav-link prose to docs (#713 batch 1)
First batch of #713 (agent per-container UI prose migration).
Moves 3 substantive WHY-explanations from app.js into
docs/web-ui.md::Per-agent page, replaces each in-code mention
with a brief pointer.

Moved to docs:
- **Terminal-wrap pill anchor** (~11 lines): why the `↓ N new`
pill is anchored in `.agent-main` rather than the default
  `.terminal-wrap` parent — backdrop-filter creates a stacking
context, anchoring inside it traps the pill's z-index below the
  composer.
- **OAuth code input** (~14 lines across two blocks): masked
  password + reveal toggle + `autocomplete="one-time-code"`
  rationale (shoulder-surfer / screenshot exposure + WHATWG
semantic value + suppresses browser save-password prompt).
- **NavLink kind resolution + XSS-safe DOM-build** (~8 lines):
  Container → same-origin, Forge → `http://<host>:3000<url>`,
External → already absolute; agent-declared strings never reach
  innerHTML.

Collapsed in app.js: each block becomes a 3-4 line pointer to the
matching docs section. Drops #262 / #568 / #592 cookies en passant
since their substance now lives in docs. The `#14` cookie on
`historyUrl` / `streamUrl` is also scrubbed — the path-relative
shape is the convention, not an open issue. `#375` (agent.css ID
ref) drops as part of the pill-anchor block collapse since it was
sole-purpose pointing inside that comment.

app.js: 27 → 24 refs. Net ~35 lines of substantive prose moved out
of app.js into docs/web-ui.md::Per-agent page, where it belongs.

37d99ed118 agent UI: relative paths for all assets/api/ws so the page works under any nginx prefix (#14)
Per mara on #14: 'make agent page not assume root path, links / api
calls need to be relative'. atlas's nginx side (#15) will mount the
per-agent UI at a prefix like /agent/<name>/ instead of its own
port; for the page to keep working under that prefix, every
in-page reference needs to resolve document-relative rather than
root-anchored.

Converted in this pass:
- HTML <link>/<script>/<img>/<a> hrefs in index.html, stats.html,
  screen.html: '/icon' → 'icon', '/static/agent.css' →
  'static/agent.css', back links '/' → './'.
- app.js fetch() targets ('/api/state' → 'api/state', /api/cancel,
  /api/loose-ends, etc.), form actions ('/login/start', '/send'),
  EventSource urls ('/events/stream', '/events/history').
- stats.js fetch() targets.
- screen.html WebSocket URL: was hardcoded as
ws(s)://host/screen/ws; now derived from document.baseURI via
new URL('screen/ws', document.baseURI) so the gateway prefix
  flows through.

Slash-command labels (/cancel, /compact, …) and the dashboard-port
link (different port, intentionally absolute) intentionally
untouched.

Added a new 'Per-agent relative paths' section to docs/web-ui.md
covering the rationale + the trailing-slash gotcha (sub-pages like
/stats must NOT have a trailing slash, or 'static/app.js' resolves
under /stats/ instead of replacing the segment).

Functional code unchanged; build clean. Damocles + atlas can
proceed with the backend / nginx side without depending on this
landing first, but once both ship the agent page works under the
gateway-prefixed URL without further changes.

a9114342e4 agent/terminal: neutral [resolved] label for closed asks (argus #668)
Loose-ends endpoint only carries pending state — a question
disappearing from the list can mean answered, cancelled by asker,
or TTL expired. Previous [answered ✓] glyph implied successful
operator response across all three paths.

Rename .ask-answered-tag → .ask-resolved-tag and use the neutral
[resolved] label. Full resolution detail (who answered with what)
remains visible via the question's history in the side panel.

Addresses argus review note on #668.

e056e82d6d agent/terminal: inline answer form under ask → operator rows (#666)
When an agent calls mcp__hyperhive__ask with to==operator (the
default), the rich tool-use renderer now mounts an empty
ask-answer-inline-slot inside the expanded ask row and enqueues a
loose-ends refresh. A new reconcileAskBinds() walks waiting slots
on every loose-ends update, matches each against pending
operator-bound questions by question text, and injects the same
inline answer form the side panel uses (buildAnswerForm → POST to
the host dashboard answer-question endpoint). When a question
resolves, the form gets replaced by a struck-through [answered ✓]
tag so the scrollback reflects the closed state.

Lets the operator respond to agent questions inline in the live
terminal without context-switching to the loose-ends side panel or
the dashboard Y3R C4LL tab.

Refreshes loose-ends both on tool_use render (best-effort, may
miss the question before the broker persists it) and on the
matching tool_result (the right moment — MCP has just returned the
assigned id). Slots are pruned on /clear and defensively filtered
for isConnected on each reconcile.

f44bf19707 hive-ag3nt: identity module with hive-qualified label (#589 phase A, first PR)
First chunk of #589 v0 phase A: plumbing the hive-qualified
'name@hive' form through the per-agent surfaces that the harness
itself owns. Broker from/to + dashboard rendering + container_view
follow in subsequent PRs once damocles ships the HYPERHIVE_HIVE_DOMAIN
env var in harness-base.nix.

- new hive_ag3nt::identity module: label() / hive_domain() /
  qualified_label() / qualify(label). Reads HYPERHIVE_HIVE_DOMAIN
(set by hive-c0re.nix module from hyperhive.domain) — when unset
or empty, qualified_label degrades to just the short label so
existing single-hive deployments are unchanged. Six unit tests
cover the set / unset / empty / arbitrary-label paths.
- prompt::render gains {qualified_label} substitution alongside
the existing {label}. system.md template uses both: the agent
intro now reads 'You are hyperhive agent iris (qualified:
  iris@darkest.space) in a multi-agent system. ... When you're
talking to or about a peer on a different hive, use the
qualified form (name@hive) so the operator + the manager can
disambiguate'. Manager flavor gets the same treatment.
- /api/state gains qualified_label: String. Always present, equals
label when no domain is configured.
- frontend setHeader takes the qualified_label, drives the browser
tab title (so two tabs from different hives are
distinguishable in the tab bar) while the glyphic #title stays
  short for the cinematic header.

Gated on env var presence — no behaviour change for single-hive
deployments. Pairs with damocles's upcoming harness-base.nix
HYPERHIVE_HIVE_DOMAIN ship; safe to land in either order.

944943b7df agent: autocomplete='one-time-code' on OAuth input (argus #592 nit)
Browsers may silently ignore autocomplete='off' on type='password'
inputs (UA override to help users save credentials). For an OAuth
code, the semantic value is 'one-time-code' which is honoured + has
the side benefit of suppressing the 'save password?' prompt that
would otherwise fire on form submit.

3b597ea028 agent: mask OAuth code input + reveal toggle on login screen (closes #568)
The login-in-progress screen's OAuth-code input was a plain text
field — anyone shoulder-surfing or capturing a screenshot of the
agent web UI would see the code in cleartext. Same risk applies
to dashboard share-screens during live demos.

Changes:

- input switches to type='password' so the pasted code renders
as bullets by default. Placeholder updated to '(hidden)' so the
operator knows the masking is intentional, not a browser quirk.
- new 'reveal' button (👁) next to the input flips the type back
to text on press, so the operator can sanity-check the paste
before submitting if she wants. aria-pressed reflects state.
- CSS for the reveal button mirrors the existing .btn-login amber
family — quiet by default, amber border/glow when pressed.
- spellcheck='false' on the input so browsers don't try to
underline the random-looking string as a typo.

The on-screen OAuth URL stays visible (the operator needs to
click it). The code is the secret leg — only the operator's
browser holds it, the URL is what was posted publicly to claude's
OAuth provider.

5f8bc5315a agent: logout dialog now reflects #585's narrowed wipe (OAuth-only, session preserved)
After PR #585 (closes #584) narrowed the backend wipe to just
.credentials.json + mcp-needs-auth-cache.json (preserving
projects/<hash>/*.jsonl session history + everything else under
~/.claude/), the dialog wording I shipped in 9d58ec3 (which
described a full-dir wipe to satisfy argus's review against the
PRE-#585 backend) is now stale.

Updated to match what the backend actually does:

- title + slash desc + both confirm dialogs now say 'rotate OAuth
  credentials, --continue session history preserved'
- confirms explicitly name the two files deleted (.credentials.json,
mcp-needs-auth-cache.json) so the operator knows exactly what's
going + reassures that the conversation context survives
- 'agent picks up where it left off on the next turn after re-login'
  tail makes the recoverability concrete

No code-path changes — just the wording. Backend behavior + endpoint
shape unchanged.
