WriteAgentForgeToken and WriteAgentMatrixToken write agent state files
under /var/lib/hyperhive/agents/<name>/state/. The hive-priv service
has ProtectSystem=strict which makes all of /var read-only by default,
but /var/lib/hyperhive was missing from ReadWritePaths, causing EROFS
on every token write.
Closes#1274.
With ProtectSystem=strict (added in the previous commit), / is read-only
inside hive-priv. nix creates a temp result symlink in its cwd; without
WorkingDirectory that cwd is / (systemd default), causing:
error: creating symlink /.tmp.tmp-...: Read-only file system
Point WorkingDirectory at the StateDirectory (/var/lib/hive-priv) which is
always writable under strict. Nix drops its temp symlink there instead.
when isolateContainers=true, isolated agents have dnsmasq as their
resolver — forge.<domain> resolves to bridgeIp. route HIVE_FORGE_URL
through nginx on port 80 instead of exposing the raw forge port.
- HIVE_FORGE_URL: http://<forge.domain> when isolated (nginx proxies)
- bridge firewall: open 80+443 for agents to reach nginx (gateway)
- remove forge-specific httpPort rule (no longer needed)
- update docs/gateway.md + docs/network.md
per mara's review comment on PR #1150.
When containers run in private netns (isolateContainers=true), host
loopback is unreachable so HIVE_FORGE_URL=http://127.0.0.1:3000 breaks.
- nix/modules/hive-network.nix: when isolateContainers is on + forge
is enabled, open forge.httpPort on the bridge interface so agents
can reach forgejo at bridgeIp:httpPort (forgejo binds 0.0.0.0)
- nix/modules/hive-c0re.nix: HIVE_FORGE_URL switches to bridge IP
when network.enable && isolateContainers; loopback path retained
when isolateContainers=false
- docs/network.md: add Forge access + Forge URL rows to effects table
- docs/gateway.md: rewrite HIVE_FORGE_URL section for both modes
Add opt-in WireGuard mesh support to services.hyperhive.swarm:
- swarm.peers.<domain>.wireguardPublicKey — peer's wg public key
- swarm.peers.<domain>.wireguardEndpoint — peer's UDP endpoint (optional)
- swarm.peers.<domain>.wireguardAddress — peer's mesh IP with prefix
- swarm.wireguard.enable — bring up wg-hive interface
- swarm.wireguard.privateKeyFile — path to host's wg private key
- swarm.wireguard.address — this host's mesh IP/prefix
- swarm.wireguard.listenPort — UDP listen port (default 51820)
- swarm.wireguard.persistentKeepalive — keepalive seconds (default 25)
When enabled, generates networking.wireguard.interfaces.wg-hive with
one peer entry per mesh-enabled swarm.peers entry. Opens listenPort
UDP on the host firewall. Adds wireguard_address to HYPERHIVE_PEERS
JSON so hive-c0re can use mesh IPs for intra-swarm routing.
Assertions guard against enable=true without privateKeyFile or address.
Also refactors networking.firewall.allowedTCPPortRanges from the
nested attrset form (which conflicted with the new allowedUDPPorts
line) to the per-attribute form.
docs/swarm.md: adds WireGuard setup section with key generation
commands, two-hive config example, NAT/keepalive notes.
Privsep splits repo ownership: hive-priv (root) fetches the hive-core-owned
meta/applied repos via nix, and hive-c0re (hive-core) fetches the agent-owned
proposed-config repos. git/libgit2's dubious-ownership guard rejects both
('repository path is not owned by current user'), failing every rebuild.
Install a root-trusted gitconfig with safe.directory=* in each service's
HOME; both already have read access — this only satisfies the guard.
Two privsep follow-ups, both in the hive-c0re service:
1. The migration 'chown -R hive-core /var/lib/hyperhive' (which only
started running once ExecStartPre stopped failing 203/EXEC) stomped every
agent's bind-mounted creds — agents/<name>/{claude,state,harness,config}
are owned by the per-agent/manager users — logging all agents out with no
way back in. Scope it to everything *except* agents/, plus the agents/
dir node itself so c0re can still create new per-agent subdirs. Each
container's hive-agent-user-migrate activation chowns the contents back.
2. nix (prebuild 'nix build', flake-check, meta eval in c0re; nixos-container
update->nix in priv) writes its cache under $HOME/.cache. Both services
run as users with no home -> HOME=/var/empty (unwritable) -> Lix cache
init fails, rebuilds error out. Set HOME to each service's StateDirectory
(adding one for hive-priv).
hive-priv had no PATH, so the nixos-container it runs for every container
op (incl. lifecycle::list) failed ENOENT. build_all swallows that into an
empty list — the 'no managed containers' symptom. Give the helper the
minimal set nixos-container shells out to (nixos-container, nix, util-linux,
e2fsprogs) on top of the systemd/coreutils/findutils already in the unit
PATH, rather than the whole system profile.
Also route forge/matrix is_present() through priv_client::list_containers
instead of spawning nixos-container directly from unprivileged hive-c0re.
The state-migration chown invoked ${pkgs.coreutils}/bin/sh, which does not
exist (coreutils ships chown, not sh), so ExecStartPre exited 203/EXEC on
every boot. hive-c0re hit its start limit and never came up, so the gateway
returned 502 Bad Gateway. Call chown directly with the +- prefix (run as
root, tolerate failure) instead of going through a shell for '|| true'.
Per mara's direction: both nixpkgs and nixpkgs-unstable are now
top-level meta flake inputs with explicit store-path URLs. Hyperhive
follows them rather than the other way around:
inputs.nixpkgs.url = "path:${pkgs.path}";
inputs.nixpkgs-unstable.url = "path:${nixpkgs-unstable}";
inputs.hyperhive.url = "...";
inputs.hyperhive.inputs.nixpkgs.follows = "nixpkgs";
inputs.hyperhive.inputs.nixpkgs-unstable.follows = "nixpkgs-unstable";
New NixOS host options (auto-set at build time, overridable):
services.hyperhive.c0re.nixpkgsFlake
default: "path:${pkgs.path}" — host's evaluated nixpkgs.
services.hyperhive.c0re.nixpkgsUnstableFlake
default: "path:${nixpkgs-unstable}" from hyperhive's flake.nix —
the channel that carries claude-code. Operators can override to
track a different unstable snapshot.
Legacy fallback (both args empty) preserved for backward compat.
Two new Rust tests cover the full-URL and fallback paths.
meta flake was using `nixpkgs.follows = "hyperhive/nixpkgs"` but
`hyperhive` is a store-path input, so nix resolves hyperhive's own
pinned lock rather than the host's follows-substituted version.
When an operator sets `inputs.hyperhive.inputs.nixpkgs.follows =
"nixpkgs"` in their host flake, the meta flake was silently ignoring
it and using hyperhive's pinned nixpkgs instead.
Fix: hive-c0re.nix injects `--nixpkgs-flake path:${pkgs.path}` into
the daemon's ExecStart. `pkgs` IS the host's nixpkgs when follows is
set; otherwise it's hyperhive's own pin — so the meta flake gets the
right nixpkgs in both cases. render_flake emits `nixpkgs.url = "..."`
(explicit) when nixpkgs_flake is non-empty, falling back to the old
`follows` form when empty for backward compat.
gateway_nginx.rs reads HIVE_AGENT_FRONTEND_DIR (injected by hive-c0re.nix
as ${cfg.frontend}/agent). When set, agents.conf emits per-agent split
blocks instead of the old single proxy_pass:
# Compiled assets — immutable nix store path, cache 1y
location ^~ /agent/<name>/static/ {
alias <frontend>/static/;
expires 1y; add_header Cache-Control "public, immutable, ...";
}
# Static dist + proxy fallback
location /agent/<name>/ {
alias <frontend>/;
try_files $uri $uri.html $uri/index.html @<name>_dynamic;
}
location @<name>_dynamic {
proxy_pass <upstream>; # api, events, icon, login, …
…proxy headers unchanged…
}
try_files path resolution (nginx applies alias mapping first):
$uri — exact file (/static/app.js → static/app.js)
$uri.html — bare-path fallback (/stats → stats.html)
$uri/index.html — directory index (/ → index.html)
@<name>_dynamic — proxy catchall for anything not in the dist
Adding pages to the frontend dist works automatically — no generator
change needed. Per-agent extraFiles (in mergedDist, not in the base
nix-store path) continue to proxy to the agent daemon.
frontend is a nix store path injected at build time — only [a-z0-9/._-],
no shell metacharacters — safe to interpolate without sanitization;
comment added documenting this assumption.
Without HIVE_AGENT_FRONTEND_DIR the existing single-proxy block is
emitted unchanged — backward-compatible for deployments without the env.
render() takes frontend_dir as a parameter so tests exercise both code
paths safely in parallel. 13 tests: 7 legacy, 6 split-mode. No clippy
warnings in changed files.
nix/modules/hive-c0re.nix: inject HIVE_AGENT_FRONTEND_DIR = "${cfg.frontend}/agent".
Nix side of the hive-priv phase 1 work. hive-priv is socket-activated
exclusively: systemd holds /run/hive/priv.sock (mode 0660) and starts
the service on first connection. LISTEN_FDS + LISTEN_PID are passed;
hive-priv reads them in socket_listener() to accept the pre-bound fd.
Phase 2 note (comment in file): when hive-c0re drops to a non-root
user, add SocketGroup = hive-core to the socket unit so the
unprivileged caller can still connect. No code change needed in
hive-priv itself.
Add a systemd.sockets.hive-c0re unit that holds /run/hyperhive/host.sock
before hive-c0re starts. hive-c0re serve() detects LISTEN_FDS via the
listenfd crate and accepts the systemd-handed fd instead of calling bind().
Falls back to the existing bind path when LISTEN_FDS is absent so direct
invocation and CI are unaffected.
Benefits: hivectl can connect the moment the socket unit activates (no
racy window), and a hive-c0re restart never drops the socket inode.
Part of the docs-migration chore (issue #708). Remove GitHub issue
numbers from inline comments, option descriptions, and rustdoc —
these are contextless noise for anyone reading the code without
access to the original discussions. Replace with prose that captures
the same rationale directly.
No functional change. Build still clean (cargo check passes).
Adds `services.hyperhive.ci` NixOS module that spins up a `hive-ci`
nixos-container running `gitea-actions-runner` against the hive-forge
Forgejo instance. Off by default; opt in with `ci.enable = true` after
generating a runner registration token in Forgejo.
Also adds `.forgejo/workflows/ci.yml` with four jobs: nix flake check,
formatting (nix fmt + cargo fmt), cargo test, and cargo clippy. Jobs
target the `hive-ci` runner label.
Container design mirrors hive-forge (shared host netns, non-ephemeral
state, loopback reach to forge). sandbox-fallback = true since nspawn
containers can't create user-namespaces for nix sandbox.
Closes#175.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Dashboard links to the forge were hardcoded as http://<hostname>:3000,
which breaks when the operator accesses the dashboard through
hive-gateway (forge is served at forge.<domain> with no port).
- nix/modules/hive-c0re.nix: inject HIVE_FORGE_PUBLIC_URL when
forge.behindGateway = true (e.g. http://forge.pr1ma.darkest.space)
- hive-c0re/src/dashboard.rs: expose forge_url: Option<String> in
StateSnapshot, reading from HIVE_FORGE_PUBLIC_URL
- frontend/packages/dashboard/src/tabs.js: use state.forge_url when
present; fall back to http://<hostname>:3000 for gateway-off /
local-dev deploys
When `services.hyperhive.gateway.enable` is on (default), the c0re
NixOS module now sets `HIVE_GATEWAY_ENABLED=1` on the service env.
`/api/state` exposes the flag as `gateway_enabled`; the SW4RM tab's
container-row renderer flips three link sites (primary agent-name
link, favicon fetch, `container`-kind nav-strip links) from the
legacy `http://<host>:<port>/` direct TCP shape to same-origin
`/agent/<name>/` URLs — the gateway proxies them to the per-agent
harness via `agent-ports.json` or `agent-sockets.json` (#784 / #815).
Gateway-off deploys keep the direct TCP fallback so local-dev /
operator opt-out keeps working.
`forge`-kind nav-strip links still resolve against `:3000` (separate
sub-domain transition, tracked by `forge.behindGateway`);
`external`-kind links are already absolute.
Mirrors the `HIVE_MATRIX_GUI_ENABLED` env→snapshot-flag pattern.
Docs updated: `docs/web-ui.md::Container row` + new
`docs/gateway.md::Dashboard link shape` section.
Stand up the host-side bridge interface + per-agent DNS resolver
ahead of #14 (netns isolation). Mara on #805#11541: "we need it
before #14 so nothing breaks when we switch over". v1 ships the
endpoint live but containers stay on shared host netns — when #14
flips them to private netns the DNS contract is already there.
Shape:
- new `nix/modules/hive-network.nix` with `services.hyperhive.network.*`
options (enable + bridgeName + bridgeIp + bridgePrefixLength +
upstreamDns). Default off. Imported from `hive-c0re.nix`.
- bridge interface via `networking.bridges` (no slave NICs at v1;
per-agent veth pairs attach once #14 lands).
- bridge IP assigned via `networking.interfaces`.
- `networking.firewall.interfaces.<bridge>.allowed{UDP,TCP}Ports =
[ 53 ]` opens the resolver on the bridge interface only —
other interfaces stay closed.
- dnsmasq config added to the existing `hive-gateway` container
(mara on #805:10957: "put the resolver into the gateway container").
Listens only on `bridgeName` + `lo`; authoritative for
`<hive-domain>`, `forge.<hive>`, `matrix.<hive>` answering with
the bridge IP; forwards everything else to upstream.
`resolveLocalQueries = false` keeps the gateway container's own
resolver untouched.
Asserts `services.hyperhive.domain != null` + `gateway.enable =
true` — both required for the resolver to be meaningful.
Docs: new `docs/network.md` covering v1 vs v2 split, container shape
rationale, default addressing, resolver behaviour, firewall posture.
`nix flake check` clean.
Continues #718 docs-extraction. Three more blocks moved to
`docs/gateway.md` (which already houses the gateway architecture
story from #775):
1. **Firewall posture (gateway on vs off)** — was a 22-line block
above `networking.firewall = lib.mkIf ...` in hive-c0re.nix.
Trimmed to 3-line ref. New `docs/gateway.md::Firewall posture
(host-level)` section covers the gateway-on / gateway-off
trade-off + why dashboard port stays loopback-only.
2. **`HIVE_FORGE_URL` loopback rationale** — was a 14-line block
above the env-var assignment. Trimmed to 5-line ref. New
`docs/gateway.md::HIVE_FORGE_URL: loopback for in-cluster,
sub-domain for the operator` section covers the in-cluster vs
external split + why agent containers can't use the sub-domain.
3. **hive-forge container shape** — was a 15-line top-of-`config`
block in hive-forge.nix explaining the nixos-container + host
netns choices. Trimmed to 4-line ref. New
`docs/gateway.md::hive-forge container shape` section captures
the same content with state-dir + wipe-via-destroy notes.
Net: hive-c0re.nix -29 lines, hive-forge.nix -11 lines, gateway.md
+44 lines. Same pattern as #782 (first pass) per iris's #10114
guidance — substantive WHY moves to docs as named sub-paragraphs,
in-code shrinks to `// see docs/<file>::<section>` refs.
Verified: `nix eval` on agent-base toplevel still resolves
cleanly; firewall posture unchanged (still 0 ports opened in the
gateway-on case + the same 8100..8999 range in the gateway-off
case).
Continues #718. Follow-up batches: remaining harness-base.nix
blocks, nix/docs/default.nix, nix/assets.nix, nix/templates/weston-vnc.nix.
Per #621 (filed as follow-up to #620 v0): when the gateway is on
(now the default), the c0re dashboard / manager / sub-agent direct
ports should NOT be open in the host firewall — the gateway nginx
is the sole external entry point, proxying to `127.0.0.1:7000` etc.
internally. Leaving them open in the firewall defeats the "single
front door" story.
Wraps the existing `allowedTCPPorts` + `allowedTCPPortRanges` blocks
in `lib.mkIf (!config.services.hyperhive.gateway.enable)`. Operators
who opt out of the gateway still get the direct ports opened so the
legacy `http://<host>:7000/` flow keeps working.
Verified via `nix eval`:
| gateway | allowedTCPPorts (host firewall) | allowedTCPPortRanges |
| --- | --- | --- |
| on | `[80 2222 3000]` (gateway + forge) | `[]` |
| off | `[2222 3000 7000 8000]` (forge + c0re + manager) | `[{from=8100; to=8999}]` (agents) |
Forge ports stay direct in both modes — `hive-forge.nix` opens them
independently and they're not proxied through the gateway (that's a
separate follow-up if wanted).
Closes#621.
Per mara's directive on #609: stand up a single nginx in its own
nixos-container, serve the matrix GUI static dist there, proxy
everything else to hive-c0re. v0 is HTTP-only; TLS / public-domain
shape lands in follow-ups.
New `nix/modules/hive-gateway.nix` declaring `containers.hive-gateway`
modelled on `hive-forge`:
- nixos-container running nginx, shares host netns
- `location /matrix/` → static-serves `hyperhive.matrix.gui.package`
(fluffychat-web by default) when `matrix.gui.enable` is true
- `location /` → proxy_pass to `127.0.0.1:${dashboardPort}` with
websocket + SSE upgrade headers + 1d read timeout
Options (`hyperhive.gateway.*`):
- `enable` (default `true`) — gateway on by default, opt out to bypass
- `port` (default `80`) — nginx listen port on the host
- `upstreamHost` / `upstreamPort` — c0re target, defaults to
`127.0.0.1:${services.hive-c0re.dashboardPort}`
- `openFirewall` (default `true`) — open the listen port
- `localHostsEntry` (default `false`) — when true, adds an
`/etc/hosts` entry mapping `hyperhive.domain` → `127.0.0.1` for
local-dev / test loops without real DNS (per mara's spec)
`hive-c0re.nix` updates: when gateway is enabled, skip wiring
`HIVE_MATRIX_GUI_DIR` (gateway owns `/matrix/` now). When gateway is
off, c0re's pre-existing matrix mount stays as the fallback.
README: short "Optional" block introducing the gateway + the
`localHostsEntry` knob.
```sh
nix flake check --no-build
nix build .#docs-host
```
End-to-end eval matrix:
| gateway.enable | matrix.gui.enable | c0re HIVE_MATRIX_GUI_DIR | gateway container |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| true (default) | true | unset (gateway serves) | present |
| true | false | unset | present, no /matrix |
| false | true | set (c0re serves) | absent |
| false | false | unset | absent |
- TLS termination — separate follow-up once mara picks a story
(self-signed-mkcert vs operator-provided certs)
- Per-agent UI routing (`/agent/<name>/`) — depends on agent base-path
support which is a frontend lift
- Subdomain routing for `matrix.${hyperhive.domain}` — same-origin
`/matrix/` is the v0 shape per mara ("leave everything else as is")
Closes part of #609 (matrix GUI re-rooting onto nginx); leaves the
issue open for the subdomain re-root + `.well-known/matrix/client`
piece once the multi-host story matures.
Per [mara on PR #615 comment 7349](http://localhost:3000/hyperhive/hyperhive/pulls/615#issuecomment-7349):
> follow nix conventions, services.hyperhive it is. the earlier we
> change this, the less breakage.
Renames the entire host-side option tree under `services.hyperhive.*`:
- `services.hive-c0re.*` → `services.hyperhive.c0re.*`
- `hyperhive.enable` → `services.hyperhive.enable`
- `hyperhive.domain` → `services.hyperhive.domain`
- `hyperhive.forge.*` → `services.hyperhive.forge.*`
- `hyperhive.matrix.*` → `services.hyperhive.matrix.*`
Per mara's "earlier = less breakage", the previous `services.hive-c0re.enable`
deprecation alias is dropped. Operators get a clear eval error on the
old paths pointing at the rename. Single migration moment.
Per-agent options in `nix/templates/harness-base.nix` (`hyperhive.model`,
`hyperhive.allowedRecipients`, etc.) stay at `hyperhive.*` — they're
container-level config, not services in the NixOS sense.
Verified via `nix flake check --no-build` + an end-to-end NixOS eval
exercising every renamed path.
Follow-up needed: rust source comments referencing the old NixOS
option names (`hive-c0re/src/{meta,coordinator,main,dashboard}.rs`)
should be updated in a separate pure-rust PR to keep this one
strictly nix-only.
- Move options.services.hive-c0re → options.hyperhive.c0re
- Add options.hyperhive.enable to auto-enable c0re + subsystems
- Add deprecation alias for services.hive-c0re.enable (backward compat)
- Update doc references in README, flake.nix, docs, harness-base.nix
- Simplifies config: 'hyperhive.enable = true' now enables everything
Existing operator configs using services.hive-c0re.enable will
continue to work but emit a deprecation warning. Aligns the option
namespace with the existing hyperhive.* family (matrix, forge, domain).
fixes#612
Cuts every `include_bytes!`/`include_str!` of a non-rust path in
the workspace over to runtime file loads from `$HIVE_ASSETS_DIR`
(the `hyperhive-assets` derivation introduced in the previous
commit). After this commit the rust derivation has no compile-time
dependency on `branding/*` or `hive-ag3nt/prompts/*` anymore.
Call-site flips:
- `hive-c0re/src/forge.rs::CORE_AVATAR_PNG` /
`CONFIG_ORG_AVATAR_PNG`: were `include_bytes!` of
`branding/hyperhive.png` and `$OUT_DIR/agent-configs.png`. Now
`ensure_core_avatar` / `ensure_config_org_avatar` `tokio::fs::read`
via `hive_sh4re::assets::{core_avatar_png, config_org_avatar_png}`
at startup. The `agent-configs.png` is now rendered by the
`hyperhive-assets` derivation's rsvg-convert step (was
`hive-c0re/build.rs` + librsvg on the rust derivation's
nativeBuildInputs — both gone in the next commit).
- `hive-ag3nt/src/prompt.rs::TEMPLATE`: `render` now takes the
template as an argument; `write_system_prompt` reads it once from
`$HIVE_ASSETS_DIR/prompts/system.md` before calling render. The
test module still `include_str!`s the production template so
`cargo test --workspace` doesn't need `HIVE_ASSETS_DIR` set —
this is the only remaining compile-time reference to the file
from the rust workspace, gated to `#[cfg(test)]`.
- `hive-ag3nt/src/turn.rs::CLAUDE_SETTINGS`: was `include_str!`'d
and written via `tokio::fs::write`; now `tokio::fs::copy` from
`$HIVE_ASSETS_DIR/prompts/claude-settings.json` into the
per-agent socket dir.
- `hive-ag3nt/src/web_ui.rs::DEFAULT_ICON`: was `include_str!`'d;
now read on-demand from `$HIVE_ASSETS_DIR/branding/hyperhive.svg`
inside `serve_icon`. Falls back to an empty body if missing so
the endpoint never panics on a misconfigured container (matches
the existing "per-agent icon.svg override" fallthrough).
`HIVE_ASSETS_DIR` wiring:
- Inside containers: `nix/templates/harness-base.nix`
`environment.variables` sets it to
`${pkgs.hyperhive-assets}/share/hyperhive` (resolved through
the default overlay applied in `mkContainer`). Verified by
building `agent-base-toplevel` and grepping the resulting
`/etc/set-environment`.
- Host-side: `nix/modules/hive-c0re.nix` adds an `assets` option
defaulting to `hyperhive.packages.${system}.assets`, threaded
in from the flake's nixosModules wiring, and sets the same env
var on the `hive-c0re` systemd unit so the daemon's
`forge::ensure_*_avatar` startup hooks find the PNGs.
`hive-c0re/build.rs` deleted entirely; `[package].build` removed
from `hive-c0re/Cargo.toml`; rsvg-convert dependency lives in the
assets derivation only.
Validated: `nix build .#default .#checks.x86_64-linux.clippy
.#agent-base-toplevel .#manager-toplevel --fallback` all succeed.
`/etc/set-environment` in the toplevel shows
`HIVE_ASSETS_DIR="/nix/store/.../hyperhive-assets-0.1.0/share/hyperhive"`.
Phase 3 of #273. Container plumbing for the bundled frontend dist:
- flake.nix overlay: `pkgs.hyperhive-frontend` exposed for the
agent / manager containers (mirrors the existing `pkgs.hyperhive`
pattern); module argument `hyperhiveFrontend = system: self
.packages.${system}.frontend` threads the package into the host
hive-c0re module without forcing operators to apply the overlay
on their host pkgs.
- `services.hive-c0re.frontend` option: pinned to the flake's
frontend package by default, overridable for custom dashboard
SPAs. The hive-c0re systemd service gets `HIVE_STATIC_DIR =
${cfg.frontend}/dashboard` — the Rust binary will pick it up
in Phase 4.
- `hyperhive.frontend.dist` option: per-container, defaults to
`pkgs.hyperhive-frontend`. Override to ship a fully custom
agent SPA (advanced; the default + extraFiles flow handles the
common 'add files' case).
- `hyperhive.frontend.extraFiles` option: attrsOf submodule
(mirroring the `hyperhive.extraMcpServers` shape per damocles'
request so existing #322-style assertions keep their grip).
Each entry has `source` (path relative to agent.nix) and
`target` (URL/disk prefix within the merged static tree,
defaulting to the attribute name). Operator-named example:
the bitburner agent drops `bitburner-dist` into
`/bitburner/` alongside the default agent UI at `/`.
- `hyperhive.frontend.mergedDist` (readOnly): the runCommand
derivation that composes `agent/` from the default dist plus
every `extraFiles` entry. Aborts on overwrite so a filename
collision becomes a build error rather than a silent dist swap.
agent-base.nix + manager.nix set their respective systemd
service `HIVE_STATIC_DIR` to this merged path.
Until Phase 4 lands, the env var is set but unused — the Rust
binaries still serve assets via `include_str!`. The cutover
happens in the next commit on this branch.
Refs #273.
- forge nix option moves to hyperhive.forge.enable, defaults true;
hive-c0re imports the forge module so it's on by default.
- drop the agent.nix container-row viewer + /api/agent-config; link

- restructure pending approvals into a card (identity header /

new /api/approval-diff/{id}?base= endpoint.
new NixOS module option services.hive-c0re.operatorPronouns
(free text, default 'she/her', example 'they/them'). hive-c0re
takes it as a CLI flag (--operator-pronouns, lib.escapeShellArg'd
in the systemd unit), stores it on Coordinator, threads it into
the meta flake's mkAgent so each agent's systemd service gets
HIVE_OPERATOR_PRONOUNS set. the harness reads the env at boot
and substitutes {operator_pronouns} into the agent / manager
system prompt alongside {label}. nix string is escaped against
backslash + double-quote so non-ascii / quoted values
round-trip safely. prompt addendum: both agent.md and
manager.md mention the operator's pronouns up front so claude
uses them naturally in third-person reference. propagates on
next ↻ R3BU1LD (meta lock bump, no per-agent approval).
